PMS mebbe? When I get mopey I check the calendar. Nine times out of ten it’s PMS. If it’s not that, then I go for a walk and do some thinking and figure out what’s eating at me. I usually get it sorted.
That Bike looks like one I stole and crashed while drunk at Chico State.

kmc, yeah OCD kind of describes it. I try to limit the scale trips to once in the AM.
5/3/1 - Wave 7, Week 2 - Squat Day
Squat (3 risers/step)
Bar 1 x 5 warmup
78# 1 x 3 working
88# 1 x 3 working
100# 1 x 4 <–disappointing money set, but knee cave was setting in and there was no point to continuing
Box squats (5 risers/step, 3 sec. pause)
75# 3 x 10
I knew this was gonna be trouble when I did a sumo squat hold (1 min) as a warmup and my hips felt TIGHT. I’ve never felt tight there, only sore. So this told me I was still sort of wrecked from alot of squat volume on Wed. plus a few bike rides. Oh well. The box squats were all good.
Chinup Drop Set
I saw this on Nick Tumminello’s website and wanted to try it.
BW 1 x 7
One purple band (very lightest Iron Woody) 1 x 3
2 purple bands 1 x 5
This was great! The idea is to do as many chinups as you can, then add a band and do as many as you can, then add another band and rep out. No rest between sets. I will definitely try this again.

40# 2 x 12 <–never done two 12s at this weight, so good.

Today’s training was a 3 hour mountain bike ride gotten in before the sky just opened up. Betty, rides ALWAYS help clear my head!
Awesome job on the chins and rows! And I have no idea how anyone can do pistols. I can’t get that low on two legs, let alone one.
Cal, pistol squats to a bench aren’t bad at all. Try it, you might surprise yourself.

I managed to at least pull my bike out of the shed…hopefully take it for a short spin around the block today. I love bike riding. Living out in Vegas growing up, when houses were miles apart still, I would just ride and ride all day long. Favorite childhood memory, me and my bike. ![]()

Yes… I am having a bit of bike envy! I don’t have a cruiser, but my best friend does and so does her roomie and we would ride hers all around Santa Monica when I would go visit… I wish I had a bike and lived in a town where it made sense to ride when I ran my errands… =-D Riding to the Farmer’s Market sounds glorious! =D
