lolwut

Disgusting, yes. Suprising, no. This is the way we are headed. Enjoy the ride!

These stories are just mind-blowing.

12 YEARS OLD! FUCK-ING-HELL.

Do parents have no rights over their own children anymore now, either?

Another reason why I think kids need to get a good beating every now and then.

Absolutely! People always get what they deserve. If the citizens who lived in that judge’s district had any spine left he would be swinging from a lamp post.

Fuck them all.

This pisses me off to no end. What’s the world coming to?

whiskey
tango
foxtrot

seriously?
parents can’t decide what punishment fits the crime?
the court system can overrule a non-injurious punishment by the legal guardian?
I wanted to poke fun at Canada, but it’s not funny.

You’re right! I have a friend who took Cell Tech for years and now he’s a hermaphrodite. Just goes to show you that steroids will give you cancer.

Welcome to Canada.

In America we beat our kids, what the hell is this “grounding” ??

Not only one judge, but it was upheld on appeal! One crazy judge is almost understandable, but for more than one to side with the kid it is a systemic problem.

Wow, absurd.

the world is going to hell in a hand basket.

Americans beat their kids? I thought they just gave them timeouts.

No. Fucking. Way.

This whole story is just preposterous. Right down to the lawyers and judges involved. At some point someone outside of the family had to take a step back and think out side the box for a second. They had to say, “Ok, what the fuck am I doing?” They had to seriously question their purpose in life and COME TO THE CONCLUSION THAT THIS WAS THE CORRECT COURSE OF EVENTS.

Did any of the adults in the process have any kids? I imagine the only one who could’ve was the father’s lawyer. I imagine the judge reading the case file in his chambers sipping scotch from a glass thinking to himself “Is it April 1st again? Is this a joke?” And when one of his clerks assured him that, in fact, it was NOT a joke I like to think his reaction was, “Fuck my life.” But he had to do his duty so he went on to judge the case.

I really want someone to tell me someone tried to talk some sort of COMMON SENSE to EVERYONE INVOLVED. I really can’t believe this HAPPENED. But then I stop and take a breath and think, “Thank GOD it was Canada.”

Wow, this is just embarrasing.

It is unreal how a parent can just lose so much control of their child.

Those are your people … That shit spreads down here I’m holding YOU responsible personally.

To me it’s unfortunate when a parent loses control, but not surprising, because I see ineffectual parenting in stores and restaurants everyday, and I know that in 10 to 12 years those spoiled little shits are going to be completely out of control. But I would expect society as a whole to be supportive of the parent’s efforts to re-establish boundaries, and turn their offspring into decent human beings. In this case it looks like the entire legal system is conspiring to destroy the father’s attempts at parenting, as if they want to reduce us all to the level of animals again.

I agree.
You see more and more often how parents do not have any sort of control over their young children. Some of it may be out of a little bit of fear of disciplining their child or some of it may be out of pure laziness.

I was so afraid of my parents and i’m glad that I was. You see little kids getting away with the most bizarre things these days.

It seems that we all have the same thoughts on this. If a small portion of us here at T-Nation think like this how could have this even happened in the first place?

Well, it is in Quebec, where things are a little…different.

They have a system of Civil Law, which has some significant differences with the system of Common Law, which is practiced in the rest of the country.

I really really hope that it’s due to some quirk in their legal system.

If this spreads out here, I will lose it.

I can’t fucking believe this trash. WTF is wrong with this my country when a 12 year old kid has the ability to drag there dad into court? Over something stupid like a school trip. She was grounded and the punishment fit the crime. What 12 year old kid posts inappropriate pics of herself online?
