Call me crazy, but I never understood the point of going to a tanning salon before going on vacation, especially Florida? Why don’t you just tan overthere?
Play sports or volleyball or something and you will get a tan. Anyways, this thing about going to a tanning salon before going to a beach makes no sense to me. And you are not the only one, a guy in the gym went tanning big time, everyone asked him if he went on a vacation or something and he said no just a tanning salon BEFORE going to Cuba. Sounded pretty ridiculous to me. Some people are too obsessed about their look. Read a book or think of others instead. Sure I like to look nice but there is a limit I think.
First off you want to look good FOR your vacation.
Second you don’t want to BURN while on vacation, Seriously…

I am so pissed off. I have been tanning slowly for my upcoming trip to Florida. Tonight I went to the tanning salon and the girl asked if I wanted to use my free upgrade which is a better tanning bed. I just got up to 10 minutes in the cheaper bed and asked her what that would be equivalent to in the better bed. She said you should be fine doing the same in this bed if you didn’t get pink in the other one. I told her I did get a little pink but not enough to burn or hurt. She said you should be fine, I’ll put you in for nine minutes. I guess this was to be sure I didn’t burn. Well guess what? I’m fucking red. I probably should have gone for half the time with the amount of exposure I got.
I’m not in a lot of pain but my lower back is uncomfortably warm. Luckily I covered my face otherwise I would have been in real trouble. The reason I went there in the first place was so I wouldn’t freaking burn. What if I end up peeling now? Oh that will look hot as I walk around in my bikini and desperately oil myself up to camouflage my flaky skin. I want to kill her! I’m going there tomorrow to complain or kill someone. What would you guys do if you were in my situation? Shouldn’t this idiot be trained as to how strong the bed is?
Did you call that DHEC number that is posted at the salon? It should be on there as required by state law. At the very least they’ll get an inspection to make sure they’re up to code.
But usually it’s an honest mistake and you can talk to management to straighten it out.

Should have used some melanotan II to create an impressive, deep, lasting, safe tan, whilst minimising exposure to skin-aging UV rays.
Bushy
FYI:
I just read an article that melanotan II causes spontaneous erections in some men. Be careful, girls, that dark stranger may just be a bad boy. So make sure that safe sex goes along with that safe tan.
It doesn’t work on women, and melanotan I does not have this side effect.

Since when are spontaneous erections a side effect of anything other than being a man?

Is there a reason you are so obsessed with being tanned you are willing to risk skin cancer?
P.S
Black people laugh at you.
Yeah I’m obsessed with being tan. So much that I haven’t purposely tanned in two years. Oh and do you speak for the black population? I never had a black person laugh at me. Reread the post before making a rediculous comment like I’m obsessed with tanning myself.
I WAS TANNING TO PREVENT BEING BURNED WHEN I GO TO FLORIDA!
I will be wearing shorts and a bikini when I go to the pool and beach with my friend so getting a base tan beforehand makes sense you idiot. Okay well I didn’t mean to call you an idiot but seriously people a vacation is more enjoyable when you don’t have to constantly worry about reapplying sunscreen and covering up.
On that note I spoke with the manager. She was not happy with the girls foolish mistake and gave me some skin lotion and free upgrades. I’m really not in pain today, just a little pinkish on my back and buns still. The little bit of base tan helped I guess.
Renton do you have some better stuff you want to help me put on?

My advice personally would be to forget it. It’s over, there’s nothing you can do. There are people in the world with real problems.

It’s not a real problem at all, just a little vent among friends. We all need to vent sometimes. Thanks for the support though. There’s a bit of hostility on this forum which is strange since it IS titled ‘Get a Life’. Weird.
Now Renton where’s my lotion? We can play lotion Twister with B3. You game?

They have suntan lotion in England? Shit, you do learn something new everyday! I was under the impression that to get sun burn you had to be, you know, in the sun.

It works for rust to apparently.
And the Social Security claimants need something to spend their giro’s on.

Stop tanning, UV rays are bad.
DNA damage is epic failure. :(
I did stop, two years ago. Reread the post. That’s why Florida sun will fry me. SC sun does too but I don’t get to enjoy our beaches as much as I should.

Wisconsin sun burns the shit out of me. But only on my forearms and the back of my neck. All that time out in the sun plowin’ those bean fields I guess.

Not true, not true! The worst sunburn I ever had was on a cloudy overcast day. The clouds don’t filter the UV rays.
