yes, but I am 43 and some of my friends are experiencing the same thing. Heck, some of their wives have gone from the silent treatment or yelling in the first years of marriage, to actually now, years later, getting in their face and hitting. You have a right to defend yourself, regardless if your a big guy getting hit by a woman. If you tell her to stop and she doesn’t, any good lawyer would eat her up in court. There are many things a guy can do without actually hitting them… When i was a bouncer, I worked with guys that got rough with some chicks that got mouthy. The girls tried to have them arrested. Since the chicks started and instigated the problem, they were the ones who got in trouble.

Well if it is a volitile relationship(this does not look like the first time) then yes it takes two. Maybe it’s never been this bad before but still, I don’t see a woman flying off the handle like this all unexpected, it’s happened before.
I have a friend and an aunt who get into volatile relationships, not as bad(that I’ve seen) as on the train, but still pretty bad.
The men they go for are non masculine men who they then expect to act like men which, of course they don’t. Then you have nagging, screaming, and frustration and then sometimes violence. Sometimes it’s her that slaps and slaps and then he finally hits back or it’s that she screams and insults(no hitting) and then gets hit. Basically they’re in it together, bringing out the worst in each other.
