I tend to think he’d be a bad candidate, but he would utterly manhandle Obama in the debates. I mean as in Custer’s last stand, shock and awe, good night Irene annihilate. Obama would be standing there drawn, quartered and filleted while Newt just looked at him with that condescending smirk he gets. That would be worth seeing.
You’re about to actually get me interested in this guy.

HAHA, this guy just sunk his campaign with his individual mandate support.
Another Rino down.
Gringrich is also ahead of Paul in the polls, just like Trump was. Wait a minute let’s not waste anymore time talking about who is ahead of Paul in the polls. Since he’s dead last just like in 08, let’s just talk about him if he actually passes someone.
Deal?
Um him and gingrich in the last poll where tied at 10%.
Good, now keep in mind my offer. As soon as he passes someone we can all talk about it.

So it appears after his appearance on Meet the Press he has been Black Sheeped by the republican party. Discuss.
He’s an enormous pussy and a sloppy one at that.
I’m still waiting to hear some of the brilliant ideas from that huge cranium. Saying someone is smart, over and over, does not make it so.
In over 20 years of following politics you are the very first human being I have ever heard accuse Newt Gingrich of not being smart. Even his most vituperative detractors recognize him as a formidable political intellect.

Why is he so brilliant? Where are the ideas?
If he’s such a genius, why can’t he keep his talking points straight?
I have no basis on which to judge his intelligence, other than the fact that he can’t answer simple questions on Meet the Press without completely fucking his chances at the nomination.
EDIT: I guess I should read one of his books. I am also aware of PRWORA and the balanced budget, but I’m sick of hearing the prophecy of Newt Gingrich aka IDEA MAN (dun da da da) without any reasoning given behind it.
Just like Romney (and Huntsman, if he runs); I don’t see Gingrich getting past the Evangelicals in both Iowa and South Carolina.

Gingrich is a non-factor. He won’t be viable long before convention time.
Especially after tonight.
His Ex-Wife is to appear on “ABC” and discuss how Newt wanted an “open marraige” with Calista as his mistress.
This isn’t good news for the Newt-Ster…

Yeah…I’m sure the Christian right will recoil like a 44 magnum when they hear that news. That means that the 5% that Perry would have drawn will be split between Santorum, Paul Romney (yes he’ll get many women that were for Perry) and some of course may still go to Gingrich…the swingers maybe
As I said earlier Newt is screwing himself out of a really nice place in the GOP regardless of whether Romney beats Obama.
To me Newt seems to be the only candidate capable of staring down whatever the Oval office could come up with. He’s blunt and to the point. Moreso than any other candidate. Checkered past? They all do. But probably the best capable of bitch-slapping Obama, grabbing the wheel and turning this country around.

The problem is that Newt will ALWAYS look after Newt FIRST.
If the Country benefits, that’s a plus. But his motivation will always be feeding an Ego larger than the National Debt…and yes, one probably bigger than the President’s.
