Does it matter the AMOUNT of carbs you have in terms on insulin? Like what if you have something HIGH GI like juice or milk, but you only have 10 g. of carbs of it. For example a low sugar hot - cocoa mix or half a cup of carrot juice. Will this have a high insulin response? Any problem with having it along with P+F meals?

Yes of course dose /amounts matters I mean one cracker will cause a much smaller and shorter insulin spike then say a box. The body is not into over doing things its very lazy and will send just what it needs to do the job. This in terms of Insulin changes as a person gets less and less insulin resistant of course from a consistent horrid diet but it still will be dependent on how much they consume.
You must also take into account what else you are consuming. GI/II are done Not with other foods mixed in if you are having protein and fats with these drinks as well that will change the insulin response likely for the better

thanks Phil.
Also, the Glycemic Index is based on 50 grams or so of carbohydrates. So, I highly doubt drinking 10g of a high GI drink would be enough to cause a violent insulin spike.
