Getting Raided

Well my house was raided a couple of days ago. came home to a trashed house, doors kicked in and my roomates. cops found all my gear with a bunch of syringes. amazingly they left every thnig? this worries me though! why would they do that? the search warrant was for drugs. i was under the impression that gear is classified as “drugs”.

A couple of months ago i rented a room out to this guy who after living here disapeared for about a month. turns out he was dealing meth and got cought with a bunch in his car bagged up and ready to go. as soon as i found out i kicked his ass out. i guess the cops were looking for him? so should i be tripin? i got rid of everything. what to do?

Did you see the search warrent? How do you know it was the cops? I’m sure they didn’t leave a note. Did you call the police thinking someone broke in, and they informed you that they raided your house? I don’t see why they would leave gear in your house. If you are really worried clean out man. Get rid of all needles. syringes, vials, amps, anything on your computer that has anything to do with steroids, or whatever else that could be considered paraphanelia.

Go read the book Legal Muscle and go here www.rickcollinsonline.com. Search on there for a lawyer who deals with anabolic steroids.

they obviously wern’t there for juice. I’m assuming they were looking for more evidence for an impending case against your former tenant. Check with other peolple at places where the meth dealer has lived to see if they raided them too.

Also, who executed the warrant, local police or federals?
If it’s local boys they dont care about juice, they have real criminals to find.

If it’s personal use gear, their probably going to leave you alone. If it looks like you were dealing, they might be getting another search warrant to include your juice.

it was the local PD. my roomies were hand cuffed on the couch for 2 hours while they tore the house apart. they didn’t leave a copy either but one of my roomies said they left a card which i haven’t found. everything i had was for personal use. i got rid of everything last night. the only stuff i have left is some Biotest 4-AD-EC, TRIBEX, Methoxy-7,M and that’s about it i think. i’m about to get rid of the 4-AD-EC. isn’t that banned now? shity thing is i put in my 30 day notice to move out by the end of this month before this happened. bad timing…RRRR

I assume the warrant was for Meth and related drugs/items; therefore I don’t think they could use other drugs they found in your place against you. However, if the gear was in plain sight they might be able to use that against you–or maybe get another warrant to search for steroids.

I’d consult with a lawyer, don’t assume that everything is OK. Having a lawyer who knows the situation may mean the difference between freedom and jail.

Crowbar

I’m no legal expert, but I’m a criminal justice major so I know a little bit about this kinda stuff. I think you should be allright in my unprofessional opinion.

I agree with Crowbar, you should consult with a lawyer, if possible Rick Collins. You never know if they are going to go back with another warrant this time for your gear!

I tell you bro, I’ve been through one of those raids and it’s not fun! It had nothing to do with gear, it was something different, but it involved a roommate. I had a gun pointing to my head, with an agent telling me if I move I’m dead!

Ahhh the good old days!

From the information you gave they were obviously there for the meth. They could easily have charged you with the stuff they found because steroids are schedule 3, but if they didn’t confiscate anaything then that means they weren’t interested in it and are not going to charge you. They will not come back with another warrant because they didn’t need one in the first place to confiscate your stuff and charge you once they were already in there for the meth. Consider yourself lucky. In these situations it all depends on how busy the police agency is that does the investigations is. If they don’t handle a high volume of serious cases say good night for just a syringe. Obviously these guys deal with big time stuff and didn’t have time for your personal stuff.

This is retarted, and probably a fake story. He didn’t even talk to the cops? His house is trashed so he assumes the cops raided it, found his drugs, then left without saying a word? Too many things don’t add up, it’s fake.

Well, Griffster, you might actually have one right for a change! Way to go!
There’s kind of a rash of this sort of story appearing on “other boards” lately.
I was gonna say something, but figured it was more entertaining this way, and besides, you know me, I like to give people the benefit of the doubt…

I was a cop for 25 years and did a lot of narcotics work but never went after juicers and I knew plenty from my gym. If the cops did raid your home they would have had to leave a copy of the search warrant. Again it also depends on how specific the warrant was. If it was limited to meth and the paraphrenalia to make it then they could not take the gear if it was hidden and hence found. They could have gone back and amended the warrant to include it. By the way, I have been juicing for 2 years now.

you got raided by good cops. I know out here they would take everything but they can only legally take what is on there warrant nothing else no matter what it is.

Sherlock Holmes:

If you’re going to use the word retarded, it’s in your best interest to spell it correctly.

That is good info right there!!

I don’t really think the story is tongue-in-cheek, as I’ll give the poster the bene of the doubt. If anybody has ever been through this, it is a downright scary situation, to say the least!

The cops are really good at playing psych games with you, but always keep your mouth shut and ask for your lawyer. As a matter of fact don’t say anything at all, until you speak with your lawyer!!!

And never consent to a search without a warrant, ever, ever, ever! If you hear a knock at the door peek and see a cop, don’t open the door as sometimes they push themselves in. Talk through the door and ask to see a warrant if they have one. If they don’t do not let them in!!

Everybody hates lawyers until they need one. Lawyers are double edged swords, they can get you out of a tough jam! But when you get the bill, you want to call the cops on them for robbing you!

It sounds prety legit to me. The safe thing to do would be to clean the place out and let things cool off for a while, and of course, contact your attorney and give him a heads up. Your atty. should be able to investigate the grounds for the warrant and get back to you with what it was for. I have been under surveilence a couple of times for other stuff, and just because they didn’t pop you the first time doesn’t mean they won’t be back. I’ve even seen a few people go down after an investigation where they were bought from numerous times, with each time being collection of evidence and a new charge. Once there is enough evidence, they pop you.
Just clean out and lay low.

I was at work when it all went down, that’s why i didn’t talk to the cops. and unlike you i’m not retarded enough to call the cops asking why they didn’t take my gear. i don’t go looking for trouble. i have much beter things to do than waste everyones time here posting a fake story.

thanks for the positive and usefull feed back guys, very much appreciated! i have talked to my lawer and considering the probation i’m on i’m very lucky i’m not in jail right now. thanks again
