Getting Enough Calories

I’m posting this here because I know there are some pretty big guys in the steroid forum. Right now I’m 235 lbs at about 10% body fat. I eat 5000-6000 calories each day depending on how long I’m awake, which comes to about 1000 calories every three hours.

I’m taking 600mg test 500mg masteron each week, and just finished four weeks of dbol at 50mg/day. Since starting about four weeks ago my weight went up maybe five pounds and then dropped about five pounds when I cut out the dbol.

The obvious problem is getting enough calories to grow, and I’m sure there are some people here eating a lot more than 6000/day. I drink 2-3 1000 calorie shakes per day from olive oil and protein powder. The rest comes from solid food. I’m thinking my problem is that I can eat 6000-7000 calories for about a week at most, and then I just feel like I can’t eat anymore. It takes me forever to finish a meal because I’m forcing it down and I feel like gagging just looking at food.

Someone help me out here with handling this many calories. Any strategies or experiences would be great. Thanks.

I’m eating big right now too, and trying hard to grow. I have the same problems some days; just can’t look at another bite of chicken!

One thing helps to up the calories…I eat 2 Tablespoons of Macadamia nut oil with every meal. (and you could take more than that, being so much bigger than me!).
It’s an easy 1200 extra calories a day, and the flavor is real mild. Either put it on salads or meat, or just by the spoonful.

It healthy too, 81% monounsaturates.
Just a thought - good luck.

If you don’t already, add a middle of the night shake to your plan with a couple tbsps of oil. I like to use 1 of olive and 1 of udos to get a good mix of monos and polys in there. I can’t imagine how hard it must be to pack down that much. I have a hard time with 4,500

Schwarz we’re about the same weight now that I’m off cycle. 5-6K does sound like enough to grow on. Assuming your protein is 350grams+ which I imagine it is. When I’m on Test or on cycle I try to hit 4-5K myself and yes it does get to the point where you cannot cleanly eat much more.

My priority is of course protein. After that I get all my good fats in. Finally, if I just need calories for calories stake I’ll get them from simple sugars.

Thanks for the advice. I will add in mid-night shakes. As for the rest, I already add oil to meals and have two olive oil shakes, and 5-6000 cals is not enough to grow on for me. I am currently 228.6 lbs, down from 236ish about a month ago, all while eating a minimum of 5000 cals per day, which is also why I said I need about 6000 cals to maintain.

I am going to increase the cals to 7000 calories, even if that means I have to drink half of my food to get it down. I’ll let you guys know how it goes.

Replacing water with juice could give you a calorie bump too. I’m getting to the point where I’m overtraining right now and I need to take a full week off for recovery sake. I’m trying to combat the apparent fatigue with extra sleep and calories. I add a scoop of gatorade to most of the water I drink now. It’s probably another 750-1K cals and its does seem to help

Anything over 6k calories and 400grams of protien becomes tough for me. I know this is why I have not grown enough the past 2 months.

The midnight shake is a great idea, I keep telling myself I need to do this and have been too lazy to make one and put it at bedside.

I have been getting 3 big meals and 3 big shakes per day getting me to the 5-6k mark. I think I’m at the point now where I need 7k+ to keep growing.

Adding in an entire gallon of milk per day also helped me, need to get back to that.
