Getting Employed Outside of CONUS

So I’m getting ready to transition out of my career field, and would like to gain some more life experience. I’ve decided I want to either move to the West coast(Washington, Oregon,Cal, or Alaska), or southwest (Arizona, New Mex, Texas). But would really love to move outside of the Continental US. I know there are alot of people on “T” outside of CONUS, as well as members who have a ton of knowledge and was hoping I could get some positive feedback, good ideas, and maybe a few leads.

I really have no idea how to search something like this net-wise. Im not even looking for any specific career field, Just a comfortable living somewhere where I can gain good life experience and open new doors. If I left out any pertinent info let me know Id be happy to throw anything out there…

Join the military, volunteer for a combat tour to Iraq. It’s the most eye-opening experience and most fun you’ll ever have in life.

Haha… been there bro… Time to move past all that… Marine Corps gave me alot, but Ive got to move on now.

I always thought that a career in law enforcement might be cool. With your military background they would love to have you. Maybe think about researching departments in any one of those states and then applying.

And if you want to stay away from the “CONUS,” that pretty much leaves you with Alaska and Hawai’i. Alaska is cold and dark for a large part of the year, so you have to think about that. It would be tough to be in such a place with questionable job prospects and no close friends or family. Hawai’i would be badass, but can be expensive. Maybe try to be a LEO in Hawai’i? We’re going to need more facts if we are going to be much help.

British Columbia is booming right now. If you like the outdoors we have everything you could ask for. I’m sure the government is advertising online. Food for thought.

Ive already been in Law Enforcement I enjoyed it but it am ready to move on. BC sounds attractive, but what about moving there and getting citizenship and stuff?

WHat kind fo facts do you need bro?
