Well, we only need to look at the number of shootings in Chicago last week or the shooting that took place in George Floyd Plaza or whatever it’s called. Violent crime is up in the cities. It’s a good thing the woke white saviors don’t live there.

Just because my sister-in-law lives in a million-dollar home in an upscale part of Boston doesn’t mean she hasn’t done her part to help poor black people everywhere. It’s not like she’s a police officer working in black neighborhoods, hunting them down for sport.
All you need to do is check her social media page and you’ll see how much she’s done to spread awareness. Anyone who follows her postings is very aware of her political views, her work to elect the politicians who share these views and her detailed explanations via meme-sharing of how you’re awful if you disagree with her.

I have no problem whatsoever with anyone asking for money for any reason. I believe individuals ought to self-select to give their cash to whoever they see fit.
Let me be the first to congratulate the founders of BLM on their newly-acquired multi-million dollar real estate portfolio. I have it on good authority that this acquisition has slightly elevated these individuals’ previously dire economic standing, but they’re still peasant-class for the region.
I didn’t give them anything, so I don’t harbor any more resentment towards BLM’s attempts at my money than I do to any other bad-faith cash-grabs over the years. There’s the extended car warranty people. There’s those churches coming after my retirement, making some bold claims about the afterlife and my presently-unfavorable place in it. Then there’s the Billy Mays wanna-be’s, selling faulty products that Billy Mays would have never put his name next to. I’ve yet to be fooled by that con or anyone who is trying to sell me fewer than 40 knives at 2am in the morning.
Then there’s the actual fax I received in a fax machine a few weeks ago from someone who said they were African Royalty. Much like the forums, there’s no way to know for sure if they are telling the truth, so you have to make a judgment call about the veracity of the information you’re taking in.
I pondered this deeply, and concluded that the fax that was sent to me was not trustworthy. Many will say I’m crazy for passing up those millions, but I went with my gut in that moment.

I still have not read up on Qanon. I’m worried I will believe every bit of it and then be a huge dick about shoving it down everyone’s throats via shame and ridicule tactics.

There is a lot of blame put upon Republicans for mass incarceration. Whilst it’s true Nixon and Raegan got that ball rolling, democrats didn’t exactly do anything to stop it either. As a matter of fact, democrats were at fault for the implementation of the “three strike” law (as a matter of fact I believe it was Joe Biden himself that was responsible for this). Other small pieces of legislature drafted and passed by democrats culpable for imposing mandatory minimum sentences for numerous crimes were also purportedly drafted.
The media narrative would have you believe Republicans are at fault, they may be slowing the rate of reform (criminal justice reform for victimless crimes/misdemeanours that is) but in terms of HOW we got here, both parties are equally culpable.
In my state we wouldn’t call this murder, it’d be considered reckless homicide or manslaughter.
