George Floyd Riots

That’s okay, because Asians are doing even better than white people. So that’s obviously due to the Asian-supremacist society in which we live.

No, Apparently MSM says its still white supremacy.

MSM does this fake narrative everywhere. About 10 years ago there was an epidemic of racist crime against Indian students and immigrants in Australia. The media pointed the blame at white people, Australian’s are so racist. it went all around the world. There was outrage in India. It turned out that it was primarily Middle Eastern gangs, and some instances of Polynesian gangs preying on quiet Indians, because they were seen as easy targets. No white criminal involvement. Once this was publicly known, the issue suddenly disappeared in the news.

Of course. Asians are whiter than white, though.

Whose fault is this with regard to the white supremacy angle? You had a moron in the White House who had zero comprehension of the world outside of his own personal feelings. He continued to push the China virus rhetoric because it made his fans, his cult members, smile and laugh. This is the same sack of manure who continued to claim Joe Scarborough killed a woman in spite of there not only being evidence to the contrary, but the dead woman’s family begging him to show some empathy.

So although I agree that claiming all violence against Asians is due to white supremacy and Trump’s big mouth is false, we do know that the responsibility for some of it does fall on him. It isn’t the majority and it is a dirty secret that there is a history of black on Asian violence that no one wants to talk about. But again, thank Trump for the narrative that dominates at this moment.

The press making the headlines, interjecting this and omitting that? The media is following Trump?

No, the Black assailants are following Trump.

Why the question mark?

In a way, I might not disagree. The media, in an excessively oppositional stance, may be framing things with Trump still in mind. In which case, some self examination is due.

What? Because he called a virus the China Virus? On what planet does that line of thinking play out?

“Hey man, Trump said Chinese virus. I thank we should go beat us some chinamen. That’ll show that virus who’s boss! MAGA!”

It’s retarded. (Oh, I probably shouldnt use that word or someone could decide to assault a mentally handicap person and I would be partially responsible I guess?)

You understand this actually happened, right? Records exist of people beating up Asians while verbally blaming them for the Corona virus.

They didn’t say the Trump part on the records. Maybe it was an original thought that they had, and Trump just happened to be saying the same thing over and over.

I know Woodrow Wilson was declared a racist for saying Spanish Flu back in 1918. I’m sure it led to all kinds of hate crimes.

Link to a specific incident?

The facts of the matter are: Trump a leader blames China for the virus. Many of his followers do the same, and some that don’t follow him also do the same (we can’t attribute this belief only to him), Asians are harassed (and beaten) while being blamed for the Corona virus, Trump continues his stupid rhetoric after the fact.

It is just my opinion, but why the hell would someone continue to repeat rhetoric that happens to be the same rhetoric that people are saying as they are attacking Asians? Maybe much of his base ate that shit up.

This is just the first thing that popped up when googling “Asian beat while being blamed for virus”.

I am fairly shocked that you would be unaware of this. I have seen numerous similar stories.

Asian hate crimes increased 150% in 2020. Having a POTUS with a notoriously fervent and cultlike fan base repeatedly blame china for covid, and get “china virus” and “kungflu” into the lexicon of his followers without a doubt contributed to that increase.

I can understand blaming the Chinese government, but it sad for me to think that a large number of people are blaming Asian individuals who have nothing more to do with the virus than you or I do. In fact, those doing the blaming on average have more to do with the virus spreading (there seems to be a correlation with this type of behavior, and things like not social distancing and not wearing a mask). How intellectually weak are these people? I don’t know how else you account for that stupidity? Maybe brainwashing?

They are the deplorables.

In that case, it didn’t even originate in Spain, so.

Against Spaniards?

And rightly so.

Blame does belong on the Chinese government.

IMO, when all the stories of Asians being persecuted while being blamed (using very similiar rhetoric to Trump’s) for the virus came out, he should have changed his rhetoric, explained that these individuals shouldn’t be blamed. That isn’t what he did though. He doubled down.
