George Floyd Riots

I was referring to the English-Irish conflict in Europe, which was a much more religious based conflict, though racialist elements of it did arise. There was an undeniably racialist element to it in the states.

Edit: Edited to clarify, there were racial elements to the conflict, but they were not the key driver of it originally, possibly because the language to describe such things wasn’t yet in common usage.

And despite the fact that the ‘racial difference’ was a fabrication made by Belgian colonials.

Read the article and let me know what is wrong.

The reporter is an idiot?

The jury is majority women?

Well, I guess that’s the bigger problem. I was thinking more specifically…the writer repeatedly wrote “the defense needs to prove…”(and variants of) in order to avoid conviction.

You mean this case isn’t being tried in Beijing? You’ve just blown my mind. I thought I was reading the news from a China news site but it finally turned into English like how Antonio Banderas gradually started hearing Vikings speaking in English as he picked up their language in The 13th Warrior. Dammit. The fact that there’s a jury should have given me a clue.

Seriously, I didn’t think that needed to be pointed out.

And I don’t care what anyone says, The 13th Warrior was awesome.

To think, some publications will occasionally hire a lawyer to do their legal reporting. It’s unorthodox, but it just might work.

That movie is one of my favorites, and no one will ever convince me otherwise. Killer movie.

“In one sense, it’s immaterial whether the accused killer in the Atlanta spa shootings admits to a racist motivation. Asian Americans, already traumatized by a rising tide of hate, violence and rhetoric, have been living in fear for months.”

Hmmm

What’s wrong with that? It’s just assumed that the girls, due to their race, didn’t understand the technology they were using. In the prehistoric utopia from which their ancestors were taken by white oppressors, there was no need for tasers and Uber Eats.

Two articles, neither written by an Asian. One isn’t even American.

Also, if you were to ask most Americans if people from Pakistan were Asian, they would say no.

That would make them stupid.

Insane.

We know he’s not correct, then. (/s)

I’d settle for a paralegal or even an experienced ex-cop. Hell, even a CA still studying to be a chartered accountant/CPA for commercial crime cases. Anything’s better than idiots like that reporter.

I heard a stat the other day but havent taken the time to verify it yet, 80% of ALL crime in the SF Bay area is Asian victim, black assailant. I figured it would be high, but Jesus 80%? I’ll try to find a link.

From 2010 “In 85 percent of the physical assault crimes, the victims were Asian and the perpetrators were African American,”

I haven’t been able to find much for current studies or FBI crime stats.
