These “protesters” are not against all religion though. They are against the religion of European colonizers and its inherent white supremacy. This is why if you say anything against Islam, they call you a racist. This is why BLM looks at “African” religion with reverence. If you are a Christian it means you reject African religion (basically animism) and that is bigoted, racist and a sign of white supremacy. Yes, they really believe this.
I think its more likely that they just support anyone who is the enemy of trump. Dont forget that trump has waged a very public war against the media and journalism since his candidacy for president started. when you go out of your way to make enemies and then incite them every chance you get, dont be surprised when they treat you like an enemy (even if it goes against journalistic ethics).

Yeah, CNN isn’t run by commies but by people who consider corporate interests (it is for profit news in a way that network news, pre-cable, never was). I think their investment in being anti-Trump at all costs is backfiring a bit. This is why they are telling protesters that their violence is only going to help Trump. What they fail to recognize is the protesters don’t care about CNN, Biden or the Democrats in general.

I think the protesters very much do. The rioters and looters… not so much. Remember that the peaceful, well-meaning protesters have vastly outnumbered the rioters and looters, but peaceful protests where nothing happens dont get the headlines like fire, violence, looting, and mayhem.
Hopefully this weeks gun violence at the protests doesnt escalate the same way gang violence does (it is seeming more an more like rival gangs at this point).

At this point, is there a difference? Silence is complicity. Keep in mind that BLM Chicago called the looting reparations and said that Jesse Jackson, who condemned it, should keep his opinions to himself. The guy who was there when MLK was killed should keep his mouth shut.

You really think that a random organizer of a BLM chapter in chicago that encouraged looting and rioting and told Jesse Jackson to STFU really represents the very large majority of folks who support the blm movement across america? You can answer facetiously if you want, but there is no way that is true. An estimated 60,000 folks participated in the blm march in seattle a few months back. Families, professionals, kids, old folks, etc. Those folks do not support looting and violent rioting, and certainly do not participate in it. Yes, there very much is a difference between protesters and rioters/looters.

Guy should never have been shot, and americans should be able to protest freely where they want without fear of being murdered. That said, those patriot prayer idiots are classic outside agitators not from PDX, whose intention was to confrontationally stir up shit with the antifa crowd. Yeah, it is victim blaming, but if you play stupid games, you win stupid prizes. I hope whoever shot the guy is caught and faces justice.

I get that you want to separate the BLM movement from the organization. I don’t. If you say BLM or hold a sign that says BLM you are, knowingly or not, supporting the organization. And they are both founded on the same false narrative and bathe in the same hypocrisy.

That’s what bothers me. I’m not concerned about 1 moron. I’m concerned it’s not called out by those who should be doing it and will be listened to–if a political opposite or even neutral does it, it is easily ignored.
They don’t do it because they do not consider it to be in their political interests. Even taking your assertion that BLM is loosely organized such that there is no central unit, you should have other local chapters tweeting, blogging, and Instagramming their butts off to take this kind of thing down. Andajor news networks need to pick it up

I know. Its as illogical and offensive as accusing a Washington redskins fan of supporting racism against native americans. You dont care what I believe, or what i say i believe, you would rather just project your beliefs onto me and be done with it. makes it nice and clean to group folks into predetermined categories. Unfortunately, people are messy mish-mashes of beliefs and rarely fully agree with a platform of any organization. But, instead of giving a 5 minute long dissertation on their beliefs its easier to just say they support a general organization.

These riots have been more politically valuable to him than any celebrity endorsement or donation.
I rate that it is now advantage Trump in Minnesota and Wisconsin, which makes his re-election much more feasible than even a few weeks ago.
