Then you address that situation when it occurs. I don’t think assuming that is what is happening is rational until there is evidence of it. Addressing it, probably involves things like splash shields, not live ammo.
Many teenagers are dicks. It is usually the bigger guys doing this stuff. I remember someone getting an open mountain dew bottle filled with chew spit thrown at them.
So what if they don’t divulge their std status before covering you in their feces? Or they didn’t get tested before donating to the urine and feces stockpile?
And frankly, it should always be assumed that human waste is a bio-hazard…

Initial events outside of Trump’s control happened. Covid and then a couple really bad killings of black men sparked a few riots. I believe some good press and empathetic actions and appearances would have gone a long way towards calming the very high tensions.
Trump’s previous divisive rhetoric, antagonistic relationship with press, and then his words and actions moving forward fanned flames. He has never been the president of hope, teamwork, and positives. He is all about picking an enemy, and scapegoating and blaming that enemy for all ills in this country. We needed a president with an ounce of compassion, selflessness and empathy, but instead we have trump who is more interested in finding scapegoats to protect his ego than he is finding solutions or empathizing with over half of Americans.
A good president makes tough situations better. A below average president doesn’t make a difference, and a shot president makes things worse. Without a doubt, I believe trump made things worse with his actions and words past and present.

Maybe it’s a party and media who won’t make it known just how dangerous black communities can be. And how minuscule police contribution to black deaths are. Anyone want to actually calculate decimal percentage of black deaths at the hands of cops out off all black victimizations? It’s derelict, negligent, and downright dangerous. It is purposeful silence to fulfill a political goal. A fantasy allowed to fester in order to achieve an end.
Then you have patronizing old white Democrats literally trying to scare black people with imagery of slavery. Further, somehow deciding they get to tell they aren’t black if you don’t vote for old Joe. Divisive enough?

I’ve lived in the hood, and grew up with kids from it. I’m under no illusions. I’m well aware that cops are not the most dangerous folks out and about, by a long shot.

Probably not if they were on the football team, and especially not if they are big guys on the football team. What is a 130 lb guy going to do to the guy who is probably getting a full ride to play offensive line.
Hopefully it is apparent that I think the rioting and violence is wrong, and I would prefer if democrats pushed back on it.
But, again, that doesn’t change anything I’ve said about Trump’s failings as a leader, nor does it excuse the bad actions of rioters and other folks with evil intentions.

I actually don’t remember any of the football or hockey players causing a lot of shit, maybe because they would be kicked off the team if they did. There were certainly others who started a lot of trouble.
