I’m saying people’s thoughts on blacks around the world have nothing to do with the riots in America and more to do with their personal feelings about blacks. When a poster pulls the go back to Africa card it’s kind of hard to not think there is some racism involved.

What’s odd is the white supremacists talk about blacks going to Africa, Mexicans to Mexico, Asians to Asia, etc. You never hear why don’t whites go back to Europe from these people.

I can understand the anger, the protesting, and even the rioting. Unpopular opinion, but sometimes violence is necessary for change.
But, what the fuck is up with the looting? What kind of crazy ass mental gymnastics do you have to perform to think stealing from people, many of whom are minorities, is an appropriate response to an injustice?
It blows my mind every time this happens. I saw a picture of a guy stealing a box of fruit loops, what in the actual fuck, man. And that one nerd stealing Legos, smdh.

I fully agree. Looting govt buildings is fair game during an uprising against the govt, IMO. But its horribly sad and stupid that businesses that just went through the black swan of CV and were able to reopen days ago, just got destroyed for no good reason.
That said, i think it is important to differentiate the protests, civil disobedience etc, from the looting. And i think it is important to realize that the looting is a small part of this story, and to not let the media and govt officials direct focus on that to delegitimize the larger movement that they fear.
The government who fears this uprising WILL try to focus on the looting and paint the whole uprising as looters and miscreants. Standard playbook: find a small part of the opposition that is objectionable, and then try and make that small section the face of the movement to delegitimize the whole thing and justify extreme action against the whole movement.

This is definitely done on all sides of just about every issue, but is especially true in this movement. I hate to buy into conspiracies, but I think that a lot of the people causing issues are planted. Who are they bidding for? No idea. But the folks that want minorities to be safe to carry on their lives aren’t the ones dumb enough to loot small businesses. A lot of those are owned by minorities, who have risen beyond systemic oppression, and have just seen their way out from under the system destroyed. 5% of people are 100% of the problem.
That may be. What type of change is desired? Have any of the protesters or rioters articulated that?
Have you not read any of the signs at these protests, or listened to any of the interviews from the more well spoken street protesters or civic leaders? Its pretty easy to see what the underlying beef is here.

It is the Secret Service that determines the safety of the President, as well as his family, and will make executive decisions to move him appropriately whether he agrees or not.
Furthermore, how can you determine whether or not the throngs of protestors within the vicinity of the White House possessed weapons or not? Did you take each one aside and search them?

Seems more like opportunism than anything, they see that in the middle of the chaos the have the chance to break into a store a steal a whole bunch of merchandise so they go for it. The only thing that justifies it is the fact that they can get away with it.
It looks like this situation with rioting and looting could continue to get worse.

Antifa is tough because (correct me if im mistaken) there is no central leadership, or much organization at all. Its mostly just a general banner to fight under for angsty, anarchy minded uber-liberals.
If youre gonna crackdown on Antifa, you need to crackdown on Proud Boys as well. At least in my area of the country, where there is Antifa, there is Proud Boys. Both instigate each other and cause the problems.
