I have found that it is almost impossible for me to keep a training partner under 25 (I’m 18.)

show me the way great one, lol. classic internet tough guy, you capture it so beautifully i just had to quote you.

i think you might just be one of the people im talking about. i never said i was a “tough guy” i mean shit, i like to have fun, too. however, i have clear goal that no one will prevent me from acheiving. i honestly can name literally 2 of my classmates that also have goals. notice i also said “MANY” when referring to my generation.

Ps: I played fullback and my number was 33, too. so you’ve already got some respect from me lol
lol nice! fullbacks represent! i recant my previous statement about you being an internet tough guy. you sir are a rl tough guy, just like anyone else with testicles colossal enough to play fullback and don no. 33 for battle. as ali g would say; RESPECT!

And also, the world has been “about to end” since 6000 BC when God made man out of 5 pieces of gum, an extra crispy chicken wing from KFC and half a tub of Metabolic Drive. God is one McGuyver’n motherfucker. If you look back in time you only see the winners, the George Washingtons, the Caesar’s, the William the Conquerors, you dont see the other 99% of the population, most of which are total pussies. Then you look around today and see that almost everyone sucks, then look back and see Ulysess Grant, then make the conclusion that everyone before was Charlemagne or someone like him, where everyone now is a fucking wuss. holy shit thats fucking funny

You get that from the movie Predator? I think it was “slack jawed faggots” though.

Right on both counts.
Ummm yeah…I swear I didn’t watch that movie at least once a week when I was little and I also swear that we didn’t illegally pirate that shit off of hbo or showtime back in the day and I swear that said non-existent pirated copy eventually stopped working do to use and I swear that this isn’t a really bad run on sentence.

This has been a familiar theme in my life…

I think flakiness and irresponsibility are aspects of youth these days. I’m hitting the books again at 24 and I had to take a couple of lower division courses this semester to fulfill some gen ed requirements. In my general psych class there’s about 150 students. On any given day about half skip and out of the half that attend at least half are browsing the internet on their computer or playing with their cell phone or talking or doing just about anything except paying attention. Grades for the exams are posted so I know there aren’t a bunch of slacker-geniuses in there. Probably 20 or so are failing outright with another 20 or 25 barely pulling a D.

For the most part, In math, physics and chemistry most people show up. All the dumb kids sign up for the easy classes and dont show up, so then they fail. (I am not saying everyone in Psych, history and english are dumb, but most of them are). the dumb kids who arent lazy have jobs, and are working on that instead of “going to college” which is code for trying to get drunk and laid.

Solid post, Xen Nova.

Gotta give ya props for your two Man Rules:

1.) Don’t be a bitch
2.) Don’t give a fuck

Xen, kickass shit brother. One day, you and me gotta lift together. Always liked your flow.

However, I’m turning 24 and always considered myself a Generation X’er. I think 84’ was one the last years of the GenX thing.

My 13 year old brother fits more into Y thank I do.

84’ FTW.
+1 for this. I’m in the same boat minus a lil’ bro.

Some of the guys I hang out with are Gen Xer’s while some of my other friends are Yer’s. Half the the Yer’s are either really mentally disturbed (I have a friend who tried to kill himself twice) or kinda pussys since they just don’t apply themselves to get real job’s with the degrees they have.

My Xer buddies, even though they has less education, seem to have better jobs b/c they apply themselves. I work in a Clinical research lab focused on cancer as a student worker and will hopefully get a job there once I get a degree. Unlike the Yer’s, I’m not pussy-footing around hoping someone will hand me a job. I bust my ass more than the chick that works there full time and she’s an Xer, although she’s more Yer-like.

So true.

I know too many guys my age who are so unassertive it’s just crippling. They’re always telling me to chill out or to stop taking things so seriously. Sometimes they’re absurdly late, they’re incapable of making decisions, and they just float along
through life because they’re too concerned about ruining
their slacker persona by actually putting any respectable
amount of effort into anything they do.

Also so true. I’m a baby boomer. Succeeding wasn’t an option, it was just assumed I would do it. I knew what I wanted to do in high school based on interests and my aptitude. My parents didn’t have a lot of money so my loans were my loans. Taking 5-6 years for a degree wasn’t an option. I did it in four, and most of my fellow students also did. This figure out what you want and take forever attitude wasn’t around then.

I have a saying about the mid 20s don’t know what i want to do at my age yet crowd. this was in reference to my lazy ass slacker stoner sister in law in response to a rant of my wife.

You know what they called me when I was 25? Doctor.

You don’t figure out life by sitting on your ass eating Doritos. you figure it out by working and developing skills that open up different, new opportunities for you.

Some of your posts are hilarious. You think your thoughts are new? Every generation is always the worst generation ever and the world is going to hell in a hand basket yada yada.

You guys honestly think that a couple decades ago every male was a man’s man capable of leveling a forest with one swing of his dull axe, fighting a world war, and knocking up his wife for the 10th time after dinner all in the same day?

Each generation has their degenerates, cutthroats, brown nosers, sloths and other lesser lifeforms. Don’t let it get you down and hating everyone. Just surround yourself with good people and don’t waste time on the others.

And also, the world has been “about to end” since 6000 BC when God made man out of 5 pieces of gum, an extra crispy chicken wing from KFC and half a tub of Metabolic Drive. To the credit of the old guys, most young people don’t know crap compared to people then. They could build a fire, grow crops, sharpened a knife, build stuff and so on. If you think what people can do today involving their own personal survival, it’s not good.

Ask your average 20 year old to grill you a steak medium and see what happens. Uhhhh, how do you turn on the grill? Uhh, how long, how hot, uhh how do you know it’s medium, uhhh.

My 13 year old boy could already take care of a furnace, grill a steak or burger, ( homemade patties) and cook other things. He can shoot a gun, probably design a decent weight program, poor a good beer or scotch to your liking and other stuff.

This is partly because parents don’t teach their kids and part of kids being lazy, and part of parents allowing them to be lazy because they’re lazy themselves.

Most frat boys are bitches to begin with, just my experience as a college rugby player in a sea of frat queers. The amount of people unable to handle their shit is quite scary.

I’m not a hardcore Alpha as I’m a better indian than a chief, but I refuse to get behind a leader that’s weaker than me on a foundational level. As far as speaking up in class goes the less you say the faster it’s over, we get the notes and the lesson and then BAM class out and it’s our time.

How about the pendulum swinging the other way. Anyone think that a lot of the children of these slackers will be forced to be self-reliant and ambitious?

…Or are we just screwed?

imo nate

the current generation will face a threat so great that it will call everyone to action and THEN we’ll see the ‘men’ rise up.

or we go the way of rome where our apathetic, corpulent lifestyles lead to our own implosion.

Why is Jeunism acceptable?

Nothing pisses me off more than when people disregard because of my age.

It’s like I’m 21, how much older do I have to be, before some should-be-retired office drone, treats me like a human being?

Can you file compaints against Jeunism, do people care the same as racism or sexism?

I’m banking on this…which will make so much more abundance for those who DO put the effort in.

To some degree this is true. I was on my honeymoon in may 06 and at the age of 42 I was better built than all but 1-2 guys on this resort. That shouldn’t be.

But of course, it was my honeymoon so i was off the market, hahaha!
