Anyone have any thoughts on Spiderman: Web of Shadows? Yes? No? Maybe? Get lost?
I’ve only heard good things so far. The Spiderman games have always been at least decent, so I’d count on a solid, 10-15 hour game coming.

I don’t think it will revolutionize anything, but it could definitely be decent. I’d try seeing getting a good deal for it at Gamestop or something when it comes out.

It’s out now. Mine should be in the mail today. I’ll let you know tonight how it is.

X,

Pick up FarCry 2 for PS3 while you’re at it. Looks like Ubisoft nailed another one:

Got the Red Ring of Death on my 360 last week…you better believe I have my work order in with Microsoft and they’re sending me a new one. Can’t wait to get Fable II!

Welcome to the RROD club, TKD. I just sent my 360 off to Microsoft last week. I received word that it arrived to their Texas location Monday, so here’s hoping I get a speedy return.

Do you compete in TKD, by the way? If so, start posting in the Combat Sports forum.
Yeah, I got it a couple of days ago, sooooo lucky if it had to happen, though. My 360 was manufactured on Nov-28-05…so another month and it wouldn’t have been covered! Should be getting the Styrofoam coffin for my old one today.

I used to compete back in college. Broke my toe playing football 3 years ago, never took the time off to let it heal, so I’ve been on hiatus from TKD. Miss it though. Doesn’t help that I travel every other week for work and when I’m home I do football and soccer, haha.

Part man, Part bird, Part Metal equals total awesomeness. '80s cartoon “The Silverhawks” is now available on DVD. Now if I could just get a M.A.S.K. revival I’d be set.

Inhumanoids is where it’s at.

Where is it at?

Early performance review shows FarCry2 will NOT chew up your video card as bad as Crysis.

Definitely going to have to give this one a runthrough over the holidays.

Did it leak for PC yet?(goes to check newsgroups…)

Anyone hear rumors about Half Life 2: Episode 3 ?

Holy shit! Okay, so I finally got 100% on Lego Batman, and decided to trade it in along with NCAA Football '08 at Gamestop. I got $25 for LB, and $1 for NCAA (whoopee.)

When I got there, I saw a used Dead Space for $54.99, a used Lost Odysee for $34.99, and a used Eternal Sonata for $34.99. Well, I decided to get Lost Odysee because it would have the longest playtime.

I go up to the counter, and the guy tells me there’s a deal this weekend only, buy two used games get one for free.

So… all in all, I just got Dead Space, Lost Odysee, and Eternal Sonata for a grand total of about $57.00! Not too bad of a deal, considering I’m looking at 100+ hours of gameplay from those three.

You bastard!

Gears of war 2 is AWSOME!!

Human shields are sooo fun!!

WTF, bro! WTF.

The game has been released on the net for a few days now…

Hold on.

How are you playing this on your 360 without compromising your Live account?

I thought Microsoft caught you fools and disabled your Live accounts as punishment?

Unless, you have a second 360 for playing burned games

You can PM me…

I think it’s a review copy. And for those of you who are wondering it’s fucking awesome. They made some additional changes and minor tweaks as well, i.e. when you run into gunfire you get slowed down and when you tap the A button you just don’t smash into whatever you were facing, there’s a delay so you can actually take cover behind what you intend to.

Just got Fallout 3, I’ll let yall know how it turns out.

I assure you its not a review copy, its straight retail brother… Have you ever heard of “the Scene”?

Shit man I just got the Orange Box.

Amidst college papers, text books, and genkoyooshi (kanji writing) paper all over my room I just happened to wonder, “What happened to Gordon Freeman when that old white guy stopped time at the end of Half-Life 2?” Did you like Episodes 1 and 2?

I also picked up Lost Odyssey. I don’t think it’s arrived from Gamefly yet but I’ve always been a fan of traditional JRPGs, even amongst all these great Western RPGs in the last few years.

Shit man and even if I don’t like it I might just fire up my PSX emulator and play Xenogears for like the 10th time.

Its a bit older but they are releasing it on the DS but Crono Triger is a game that will always have a spot on my game collection. I love that game!

Episode 2 is a lot better than episode 1. More fun and a larger variety of environments/situations. Episode 1 is kind of boring. Also, the level designers stuck in way too many insta-death traps that are undetectable in advance. So, no matter how good you might be at games, it goes down like this:

 1. Walking down tunnel/cave/hallway/whatever
 2. Random mine explodes
 3. Instadeath
 4. Reload
 5. Dodge random mine explosion 1 since you know about it now
 6. Still walking down tunnel/cave/hallway/whatever
 7. Random barrel explosion
 8. Reload
 9. Dodge random mine explosion then random barrel explosion since you know where they are
 10. Rinse and repeat

It feels like the whole game is two steps forward, one step back. Gets kind of old.

Episode 2 is nothing like that. If you’re good at fps, you can shoot/strat your way out of most situations the first time. It’s a lot more like the original hl2 and a lot more fun.

I got Fable 2 finally (you bastards have all the early release dates), and I’m quite impressed - worth the $75.

Yep, Episode 1 was basically Half-Life 1.5. Episode 2, on the other hand, was pretty intense and challenging.

---------------------Spoiler---------------

That epic Strider fight at the end of the game was EXTREMELY difficult on the hardest level, at least for me. It just got insane at one point… it took me quite a few tries.

--------------------End Spoiler-----------

Just to spark some discussion, what would everyone put as some of their hardest moments in gaming? I’d say either the Ruby or Emerald Weapons in Final Fantasy VII, the Kurt Zisa fight on Hard mode in Kingdom Hearts, or the final four or so levels of Ninja Gaiden for XBox on its hardest difficulty.
