Which games on pre-order, bro?

Let’s see - MK vs DC Universe, Fallout 3, Gears of War 2, Prince of Persia, Shaun White Snowboarding, Fable II and Pure.

Pure isn’t a pre-order, but I’m still deliberating on whether or not to get it.

Also I want C&C 3, as I need a strategy but wondering if it’s the best one for the 360.

Interesting…but how the hell do you have a fight with Superman and not have it end within 2 seconds?

I mean, yeah, I will buy it…but are they serious?
The developers are claiming that they have created a perfectly logical explanation about why Sonya can compete as an equal with Supes and the Flash. Yeah right, and fighting games are known for their deep plots and engrossing stories.

From the renders I’ve seen the DC heroes are looking as majestic and powerful as ever.

Get it! You won’t be dissapointed. Or you could always download the demo off live and check it out first.

You’ve played it then?

I can’t really download demo’s at home since I am on a capped 1mb line, so it takes ages.

I will probably put an order in for it once some of the others become available towards the end of this month.
Only the demo, but i’ve played that same level like a 40 times. The gameplay is really good and the graphics are insane. I also read that you can build a bike from the ground up which sounds pretty cool.

It will be the first game i buy at release price and the only reason i haven’t already is because it’s sold out at all the stores in my area and i can’t order it online cause of my location.

Btw my connection gets download speeds of 90kbps if i’m
lucky and though it doesn’t show the download speed xbox live downloads go quite allright. Took me about an hour and a half, maybe 2 max to download it.

Damn, maybe I’ll have to check this out. I enjoy racing games and the older ATV Offroad games… this could be a nice departure from Forza 2 for a while.

PSP owners: what are some good sites for downloading comics? I have a couple on my PSP, but am looking for some new ones to read.

I hadn’t even thought about doing that. Where did you get the ones you have now?

Forza 2 was amazing. I think I played the demo, at least.

DIRT was really fun, too.

About Forza 2… I probably got 30-40 good hours playing that game… of course it doesn’t hurt to be a completion whore.

In the search box type in download comics to PSP or something along those lines and about 5-6 comics should pop up. You get a couple of full strips and others are just 1-2 slides.

Still, a pretty cool feature and it’s easy to download.

I hear the Gran Turismo franchise has gone downhill and Forza now beats it. Any truth to this? I wouldn’t be surprised…

Dude, that komikwerks site is TOO SICK. Thanks for that.

I never thought of reading comics eBook style / digitally. I can download these and read them on a laptop, right? Free?

Yep.

As I mentioned, you can also do this on your PSP. I just don’t see many listed on the site available for download. They have the Stan Lee Sunday Comic Strips, but I don’t know how frequently that’s updated.

I need to see how to go about getting the other comics on the PSP from that site.

You can view regular JPEGS as photos on the PSP, right? If so, I always use demonoid.com to torrent my favorites that I don’t pay for . . . h33t.com is good for comics, as well.

So this made for a rather unproductive day at work.

Make that days… but then again it looks like you got wayyy farther than I have. Have you seen the forums? Some of those solutions are mind boggling.
I figured out my own solutions to the all puzzles, now I’m, going back to make the most complicated machines possible. Learning how to build a trebauchet really opens things up for fun solutions.

And some of the stuff in the forums is just sick.

There are a few other upcoming superhero games. Cryptic studios made headlines when they developed City of Heroes and City of Villains. They had been contracted with Marvel and Microsoft to develope a Marvel Universe Online, but that has since fallen thru. Out of the ashes they bought up the rights to an old pen and paper rpg called Champions. It is about to go into beta testing. The Champions MMO is being developed for both PC and Xbox 360. Both game versions will operate off the same servers and should spur some fun PC vs Console fan boi wars.

DC Universe Online (MMORPG) is being developed for the PC and PS3. Jim Lee is overseeing the landscape and character designs while Geoff johns is scripting the games story line. You won’t actually be playing as Superman or Batman. Instead you create your own character and can choose to fight for good or evil.

I’ve got that new Sony DSLR-A900 sitting on my desk that I mentioned a couple days back - an £2000 camera my friend, who takes photos recreationally, bought. He’s in SA so I’m his receiver of goods.

Supposedly the best DSLR camera in the world, at the moment - a 24.6 megapixel camera. I’d never pay that for a camera, but damn it is nice after playing with it for a bit - the photos look good without even trying.

With the DC Universe and Champions MMO (and as soon as I get a new PC, the City of Heroes [and Villains]) coming out, I’m going to be breaking down and buying. My question: are these type of games worth investing in if I plan to spend less than 4 hours a week playing them?

I’ve known people who spent 40+ hours in WoW to “keep up,” and that’s not a life investment I’m looking to make in something not making my rent payment.

Looks good. I was hoping the review of the Nikon D90 would be overwhelmingly positive on DPReview, and it is generally good but not the baby-D300 that everyone made it out to be. At least, not according to Phil Askey.

I don’t buy it, though. The high ISO performance is what I’m looking at and the D90’s is definitely better than the D80 it replaces. Now, if I had the cash, I’d skip the D90 for the D300’s better AF…hell, I’d get the D700 and be done with it.

Just for that, RSGZ, I’m going to record the sound of my Audi S5 - when I get it - and email you the MP3…
