I’ve almost always saved up so I can buy whatever console I’m interested in, so I guess I’ve never really had an issue with one console vs. the other. If the prices on future consoles keep going up though, then perhaps I’ll have to start making choices.

I acually have been a fan of Sony’s systems since the first playstation. I will eventually purchase a PS3 for Blu Ray and The upcoming God of War so I actually don’t hate the PS3. What ticked me off was the rampant bandwagon jumping that was happening for the last couple posts. And dude with the sith lord avatar kinda got my goat with all the fanboy talk, so I deceided to throw some love the 360’s way.
The only system that I really dislike is the Wii I owned it for about a month before selling it on ebay. To me it was a PS2 with stupid looking controllers.

True…I had a PS One when they first came out…then I had an XBox when Splinter Cell came out and a Game Cube. I didn’t even get a PS2 until the slim one came out…lol. Personally,I enjoyed just knowing that when I got tired of the XBox/Game Cube games…there was the PS2 and a entire library of games waiting for me.

Well, World of War craft is a game you could try. You can play the whole game bye your self if you want or with ppl you know or some randome Joe on-line.
But if you really want a stratagy game you can try Simcity Societies, Dawn of War, Supreme Commander, Company of Heros, Overlord or Warcraft 3. But you might be suprised what you can run with your POS it just wont be on high

I still am pretty fond of my 360, even with some of the problems I have had it with and its predecessor, mostly because I love the games on it (Halo 3, Gears of War, etc.)
Personally, I am pretty jacked up for Fable 2 when it comes out in October. The first one was just a lot of fun (although the final execution of the game could have been better… the overall concept of how choices affect everything for your character is great).

I just can’t see it translating. There are certain games that are meant to stay games — God of War, Halo, Resident Evil. We know how the RE movies turned out, and then there’s always Mario, Street Fighter, Mortal Kombat, and Hitman for other points of reference. There’s no way a movie could capture an epic scene like the falling-pillars part of GoW2… no way.

I’m looking forward to Fable 2 as well. I really loved the first one. I’m going to pick up Too Human this afternoon. It didn’t get good reviews, but I thought the demo was fun.
I’m also interested in getting Infinite Undiscovery.
When The Force Unleashed comes out, that one I’m not sure which console I’m going to get it on yet.

I checked out Spiderman 3 on Blu-Ray playing in a Best Buy. Yes, it was super sharp, and I understand that higher resolution is required if you are outputting video to screens that have more resolution than standard TVs (such as 720p or higher), but the movie looked TOO sharp.
Literally, every scene in the movie looked as if they were showing the Behind the Scenes…the lighting, framerate, etc, did not look like it was the same as the film post-production.
Does that make sense? I never know what it’s called or how to reference it, but when you look at something playing and can tell it’s a movie/show vs. shot with a video camera.
Maybe I need to see other movies in Blu-Ray.
