When I was in 9th grade… I spoke a little Klingon… and I still kinda have a thing for william shatner…and I have to say, the only thing I like as much as going to the gym… is doing my calculus based physics homework, or reading up on higher level math (complex analysis anyone?)
so I’m clocking up there at 90+ % I think
90% indeed, I’d say 99.9%. The Star Trek stuff is throwaway, but a hunger to understand the natural world will serve you well for decades to come. A mathematics degree gives you a good deal of flexibility later in life. A double major in physics even more so.

Just saw The Incredible Hulk.
The beginning was awesome. The middle lulled a bit, but the ending more than made up for it.
Fucking awesome.
They made a lot of joking references to the old comic books, and Stan Lee had a cameo, as always.
I’m really loving Marvel taking control of their stuff. Everything is pretty true to canon.
Can’t wait for Iron Man 2, Cap Am, Thor, and the rest.
Dude, how the fuck did you see it so early? I can’t see it until 1pm on friday.
Lots of theaters around here start showtimes as early as 8:00 pm on Thursday, plus I know of a few places that had sneak previews. I have a buddy that saw it in Wednesday. Said it was awesome. Unfortunately, I can’t see it until next weekend, so I’ll have to avoid the spoilers until then.
My brother, my best friend, my other best friends girl friend, my OTHER best friend, and about three other friends I’ve met and chilled with through them all work at the movie theater.
I see everything for free and as soon as they get the reels in

Stan wasn’t in Punisher Elektra or the Blade movies.
Were they made by Marvel? Stan Lee usually gets a cameo, at least these days he tends to.
Elektra was only co-produced by Marvel and distributed by 20th Century Fox.
Iron Man and The Incredible Hulk are the first two films independently produced by Marvel Studios.
I think he had made some commeents about not having to be in every film ala Hitchcock. I think he just didn’t want to be in the travesty Elektra was

Yeah, I wouldn’t have wanted to be in that one either. I thought I read somewhere once that a cameo by Stan Lee was his ‘seal of approval’.

On the other hand rthe Blade films where the bomb and Lee no showed on those but he knows that the Blade franchise a) jump started Marvel films, and b) kept comic movies going. What was the other comic related property being shown when Blade came out? Batman and Robin with George “looney” CLooney 'nuff said

That was the very definition of Hollywood crap made only to rip a few quick dollars from whoever would show up.
I doubt I will ever even allow someone else to watch that movie in my presence for the rest of my life.

I’m just trying to show the type of garbage they where trying to feed comic fans. Until recently, Iron Man, I’d say they’ve made comic movies more to make profit(not that profit is bad) and neglected the fans. Sure there where little nods in X-Men “what did you expect yellow spandex”.

Wow… you’re not lying. I guess I overlooked this on the worst movies thread, but this may have to be an easy #1.

…only if you read them all and store them properly afterwards.

What if I open a comic store and use them to raise some capital/build an archive, instead?

I think that would qualify as both geeky and awesome.
