Err… Himora, Wonder Woman and the Flash are DC characters…
The Avengers are currently (I believe):
Iron Man, Capt. America, Wolverine, Storm, Spider-man (subbing for ant-man), The Hulk, and possibly Thor.
Depends on the comic/version.
The most likely for a X-over movie, IMO, are:
Iron Man, Wolverine, Capt. America, and Spider Man.
I don’t think Thor will gain enough steam. As for The Hulk, both of the new movies don’t portray him in a super-heroish light, or so it seems. Banner is more like a man trying to control his inner-demon, than someone who wants to use his power for heroics ALL the time.
That’s the same way he is portrayed in the comics now. He isn’t really a super hero anymore but someone on the run. He’s killed innocent people now and destroyed cities.
The current Avengers include Spiderman, Luke Cage, Spider-Woman, Iron-Man, Captain America, Wolverine and Ms Marvel.
They’ve updated a lot of things from the older comics. It is the only reason I pay attention to it. Thor is dead…for now. the fact that they used Nick Fury from the newer series hints they are moving in this newer direction (even though they could add in Thor before he dies easily).
Those more into this shit would know more though.
My friend…Thor is NOT dead anymore. His title has returned, and he is more bad-assed than ever.
The Nick Fury in the movie is the Ultimate Universe Nick Fury. This means Marvel is trying to introduce the Ultimates Universe version to the mainstream, not their “real” universe which is dubbed the 616 universe.
Thor is my favorite character. I hate the fact that the Ultimates version of Thor is a real pansie. I blame Quesada for bastaardizing or allowing the bastaardization of Marvel comics history and destroying some of the continuity. This helps with marketing to newer generations, but hardcore comics folks like me detest it.
I don’t care for the Ultimate line from Marvel, the story’s are 12 issues of talking and then 1 issue of action ho-hum. Plus the stuff they did to Hank Pym is fucked up, I think irt was more shocking in the early 80’s where he slaps Jan that one time, than that whole beat down they did in The Ultimates, Bendis has issues.
As far as an Avenger’s film maybe they’ll do Captain America leading into an Avenger’s movie. Have the film end with Cap going into the water and freezing, then having an already formed Avenger’s team find him ala issue 4.
Dude…superhero spousal abuse is some interesting shit.
Yeah but that issue in the early 200’s where as Yellowjacket he just belts her and her showing up at the mansion in sunglasses etc is more powerful than being chased by a can of raid.[/quote]
You know he kills himself in that animated Avengers movie (for the good of everyone else)? She was leaving him anyway.
