Geek S**T

I will probably up my geek status to super geek if I have to purchase any of the figurines or statues on sales at the shop not to far from where I stay. I always find myself wondering in there admiring all the cool stuff, my girlfriend is convinced that I am the biggest geek. So be it!

I think the common thought process is that if you have too many of those in your apartment, you won’t be getting laid any time soon.

I’m currently reading both The Dharma of Star Wars and Dark Lord: The Rise of Darth Vader.

The only game I ever got into was X-Wing, back when it was only available on 3.5" diskette (mid-90s).
I bought the whole series when it was released on CD-ROM (X-Wing, TIE-Fighter, and X-Wing vs. TIE-Fighter), but I haven’t tried either of the latter, yet.

Shit, I may get one. I don’t know what the hell I would do with it though. I do believe they lock you up if you actually wear it outside of Halloween.[/quote]

Wear it to the gym!

I’m not into games nearly as much as I used to be. Nowadays, I stick to Halo, GTA, Madden, and Guitar Hero/Rock Band. Other sports games are occasionally played, usually hockey ones.

Also, I like technology in general. I’m eclectic, what can I say?

No one told me that AVP Requiem was way better than the first attempt.

It’s out on DVD now.

How do you guys like your PSPs?

I’m have a 360 because I like dorky RPGs like Oblivion.

What type of gaming experience do you get on a PSP?

How are the GTA games for the PSP?

It was good on big screen, I was so disappointed with the first installment I was hoping that the next one will make up for it. It’s one of those horror productions that need to live up to expectations. The last good horror movie that generated the same adrenalin and fear was The Decent. It’s not possible to compare the films however the feeling of being trapped in confined spaces being chased by spawns from satan is enough to scare you for a while. I hope the sequel The Decent 2 in 2009 is worth the wait.

I’m very geeky sometimes but I try to keep it under control…

I guess this thread is as good as any to post this info:

Anybody going to the New York Comic Con this weekend? If you are or know anyone who is, make sure to check out the panel “Fan Films- A History and Future” on Saturday @ 3pm. It’ll be featuring my business partner and best friend Dan Poole for his Spiderman fan film, and if it gets finished, a trailer for our feature superhero film “The Photon Effect”. It should be pretty flippin’ sweet.

I think the PSP is the best hand held on the market. Rumor has it they are thinking of adding a “cell phone” package. If they do, I don’t think anything will beat it. The only negative is that if you plan on taking good care of it, you need a carrying case for it which makes it way too large to fit into any pocket.

I can’t think of any other handheld that allows you to watch DVD quality movies while playing games in that much detail. That latest God of War game is way ahead of any other in terms of graphics during play.

I haven’t played the GTA games on it, but I will probably buy one now that you mention it.

Yeah, I agree, it’s actually good! I couldn’t stand the fact that the predators ‘teamed up’ with the humans. That would never happen; no way, no how.
