Nice setup man. I’m using something very similar (i7 920 @ 3,4ghz, GTX 485 and 12gb ram), but I’m very envious on the invite. Battlefield 3 looks bad ass. Definitely looking to pick that up with MW3.
On an unrelated note, I’ve been invited to a market research gathering of around 16 people in London the 10th of August for the Windows Phone. Ã???Ã???Ã???Ã??Ã?£60 for our trouble and we get some surprises too, supposedly.
Being a tech geek, I hope they show us the upcoming phones and then some. It’s going to be sweet, finally I can give MS my opinion 1st hand.
Yeah nice set you have as well. My mobo maxes out at 16 gigs of RAM and that will likely be my next upgrade soon.
If you haven’t already, be sure to get yourself a Solid State Drive when you can. I have a little 80gb as my primary, and a 1TB for all my files. The difference in responsiveness is just amazing.
This should hold me through for another 3 or so years.
Nice setup man. I just looked into purchasing 2 8gb sticks of ram…$400!!! Wow. 8 will do for now…I also saw two 6 gb sticks for just $100, so that will most likely be my next upgrade instead of right to the 16.
That’s also a great idea to have a SSD. Did you essentially just install your OS and drivers etc on the solid state and your games and pictures on your 1TB HD? I’ll have to think about doing that too…
^^^^ Yup this is what I have too.
ALso, no wai!, that 16 gigs cost you 400.

16 gigs may not cost $400, however, I only have 2 slots, so 2 sticks of 8 gigs of ram seems to run about $400 at the moment.
