Or maybe they just happened to be good movies that starred women.

You can add Sucker Punch to the list too. That movie rocked, and it starred a whole flock of 90lb women. There just aren’t enough movies these days with 30 foot tall robot samurai. Jessica Biel and Jennifer Garner aren’t making action flicks, and I don’t see any other chicks stepping up to the plate besides the 90lbers. Rachel Nichols maybe (GI JOE, CONAN, ALIAS)?

You could argue I have some weird man crush on Chris Evans because I like The Losers, Push, Cellular, and Captain America. Or Jason Statham with movies like The Transporter, War, The Expendables, and Blitz. Maybe its just something special that the best movies that get made are invariably ranked between 6.0-6.5 over at IMDB.

The earlier “etc…” are movies I watch annuallyish like Ghost In The Shell, Terminator 1 & 2, Predator 1 & 2, Ninja Assassin, Soy El Numero Cuatro, 28 Days Later, Final Fantasy: Spirits Within, etc…etc…etc…
Bujo you got a place to stay if you ever come through Houston. I liked all these movies you listed, I like the weird stuff also and so I can understand what Roy is talking about.
You may regret those words.

Actually I should be going thru Houston quite a bit from October to February. I should be there for opening weekend of the Texas Renascence Festival. Then I’ll be flying out of Galveston going to and from work.
No worries, we got room.

You mean Hobby or the Port in Galveston on a boat?
I fly out of the Galveston airport right there by Moody Gardens and Schlitterbahn Jr. Since I usually take a helicopter to work we don’t need a whole lot of space. I hope I never have to take a boat from Galveston to the rig. It’s nearly 220 miles. It’s a long helicopter ride. I don’t even want to think about how long it would be by boat.

Sorry I momentarily forgot you worked the rigs. Carry on.
Schlitterbahn Jr that is funny.
You ever eat at The Spot?

Bad Ass. Hopefully they will keep it on par with the Specter short film they made. We need more suspense/horror cartoons.

In the 70’s Joe Orlando was the editor for DC. He got mugged in real life. After coming back to work he wanted a superhero that would search out and really punish the villains of the world. The Specter was pretty wicked in the early 40s and again in the mid 60s, but the 70s he was out right controversial.

I would really like to see a return of the 70s Specter over this “Hero-Of-The-Month” Specter we’ve got right now.

No. Pretty good? I hit a few places along Seawall Blvd, but not that one. At least not yet.

Yea the wife and I like to ride the Harleys to Galveston and eat there.

Burgers are awesome.

Never ate anything else cause they are so good, but a lot of people go there.

Its on Seawall Blvd. Lot of bikers go there.

Again, if you personally enjoyed a movie, that’s what matters, right? Outside opinions shouldn’t change that.
Part of those posts got segued from a another conversation I was having about how much the Rotten Tomatoes website sucks, and how my favorite films all seem to fall into the same rating via Rotten Tomatoes or IMDB.

Sweet. I’ll check it out next time I’m in the area, or I’ll post something around here and see if we can’t meet up.

Don’t know yet. Probably 14 on 7 off until I get a new guy or two trained up, then I can go to a 14/14 schedule. Last May I was stuck with two morons who were barely adequate to do the job. Hopefully they both found new homes on other rigs, but we’ll see.

That’s all right. I let myself get too fat this year. I’m stuck eating cottage cheese until I lean out a bit.

if no one calls me to go lift…I’m eating all of the steak by myself.

…and was going to do that anyway.

If nothing else Friendswood is definitely south. My aunt and uncle live there and have been letting me crash at their place when I pass thru. You’ve got a couple wicked Italian restaurants in the area. One place I got a massive veal cutlet stuffed with mushrooms and cheese. The other place I got a 12 or 16oz veal chop plus sides for $16.

Hmmm…patch update for Dead Island. Hopefully no more glitches.

Dude, do not trust IMDb listings…I’ve spent time on the forums there. I tried explaining that the causal loop of Terminator revolves around the Sarah Connor pic, and it was just a totally wasted effort. The site is populated by plot hole Nazis. You enjoy what you enjoy.

I believe it will be live action so maybe a Supernatural meets Smallville type of thing
