Geek S**T The SIXTH

One of those movies featured a genetically engineered frail 90lb woman who easily killed trained killers. Let’s see, Hannah and Columbiana came out in the last 3-4 months. Salt has been playing on Starz a lot. I mean like every other night. Now Starz is running director’s cut versions of the movie. So, I guess they be fresh on my mind. Or maybe they just happened to be good movies that starred women.

You can add Sucker Punch to the list too. That movie rocked, and it starred a whole flock of 90lb women. There just aren’t enough movies these days with 30 foot tall robot samurai. Jessica Biel and Jennifer Garner aren’t making action flicks, and I don’t see any other chicks stepping up to the plate besides the 90lbers. Rachel Nichols maybe (GI JOE, CONAN, ALIAS)?

You could argue I have some weird man crush on Chris Evans because I like The Losers, Push, Cellular, and Captain America. Or Jason Statham with movies like The Transporter, War, The Expendables, and Blitz. Maybe its just something special that the best movies that get made are invariably ranked between 6.0-6.5 over at IMDB.

The earlier “etc…” are movies I watch annuallyish like Ghost In The Shell, Terminator 1 & 2, Predator 1 & 2, Ninja Assassin, Soy El Numero Cuatro, 28 Days Later, Final Fantasy: Spirits Within, etc…etc…etc…

After two hours of playing God Of War on the PS3, I’ve decided I definitely got to get rid of that PS3 controller. Get a real controller that fits my hands. One that has sticks where sticks are supposed to be and buttons where buttons are supposed to be.

Interesting. Never thought about it. I might consider purchasing that controller. See how it feels like.

I really liked the music, the action scenes and all that but the story surrounding the film…I just could not get into it.

. Rumor being that Skyrim will fit completely on one DVD for the Xbox as opposed to 2-3 discs. Rage might be the same way but don’t know for sure.
Well if that’s true that’ll be good news

The idea of inserting one disc after another really gets on my nerves at times, lol, especially on the Xbox. I don’t have that issue with my PS3 and I didn’t mind either when I was playing games on PC (well before the DVDs). What I want to do is to insert one disc, installing the game and starts playing. That’s how impatient I can be, haha!

Bethesda is one of the best gaming companies out there so if they say they can fit the whole game in one disc, I want to believe them. However, how long the installation and loading times are going to be? Shall I keep faith?
Multiple discs is really my only complaint about some games like Mass Effect 2. Hopefully what GameStop Lau told me was true. Fingers crossed. If anyone could do it, I’d put my money on Bethesda or Bioware.
I have had PS3 for long time and never had a game with multi discs.

Is this an XBox thing?

Man why do people even buy Xbox?

hhahahahahahahahahahahahaahahahahaaha

Bujo you got a place to stay if you ever come through Houston. I liked all these movies you listed, I like the weird stuff also and so I can understand what Roy is talking about.

We’ll start a fan club. Arm wrestle to see who’s President and Vice President of the club.

You may regret those words.

Actually I should be going thru Houston quite a bit from October to February. I should be there for opening weekend of the Texas Renascence Festival. Then I’ll be flying out of Galveston going to and from work.

Good luck, DJ.

ahahahahahahaahahahaahaha I cant smell anyway to many nasal fractures.

Possible Spectre television series being done by Fox awesome. Spectre is the real spirit of vengeance and is a total bad ass I have a trade of reprints from the 70’s pretty intense for the time violent and gritty

X-Men anime going to G4 in October

X-Men anime has sucked as far as the Wolverine shit. I am NOT looking forward to anything else.

I downloaded the anime Iron Man too and was equally dissatisfied.

Their take on how characters interact with each other is just flat out corny and uncharacteristic.

maybe they will surprise me…

I watch and enjoy all types of movies. I tend to talk about the weirder ones more because they are generally the least talked about. The bigger releases get plenty of coverage without my help.

The main thing is to watch movies for your own enjoyment and don’t get too caught up in what other people think of them. If I like or dislike a movie, then I’ll have plenty of good reasons why I felt that way.

I thought Cowboys & Aliens was overly long, the premise was stretched paper-thin, some moments bordered on cliche, the leads had no rapport and making them both ‘men of action, not words’ brought the movie down. Not to mention the production was plagued with difficulties (mostly at the development stage).

I saw it with three friends: we all have wildly diverse tastes when it comes to movies (one of them doesn’t like horror movies and refuses to watch them. He preferred GL to Thor, which he described as “a bit naff”). We all agreed that the movie was disappointing. I was the only one that didn’t go into it blind.

If we have a difference of opinion on a movie, there’s no need to post up several other flicks to validate your opinion. It implies that because I don’t like C & A, I didn’t like Hanna (thought it was brilliant, btw). Totally different movies, and don’t belong in the same discussion.

Again, if you personally enjoyed a movie, that’s what matters, right? Outside opinions shouldn’t change that.

Roy you are always invited also.

I have not seen Cowboys and Aliens. No way I would pay to see it, thought it looked blue ray from the beginning. I might enjoy it who knows.
