Dude! hahahahahahahahaha
Looks like the Blob came in contact with the Venom symbiote. A lethal combination.
Anyone else losing their life to Skyrim?
I never played an RPG when I was younger, just straight up PC FPS games. Used to play Quake, Quakeworld, Quake III, etc. Then I had a couple of kids and grew up and spend most of my time working/studying/being an awesome dad.
HOWEVER. That was BEFORE Skyrim.
I didn’t even want to play it. The game was a gift for my girlfriend. She loves RPGs. After putting it in and starting it up, she was too tired to play.
So I figured, why not?
My entire weekend, destroyed. I even dream about skyrim. I’m not sure what is real. Am I Eddard, the imperial dragon born mage? Or am I catalyst, the hard working father of two?
(Disclaimer: I’m being dramatic, in reality I just played a lot more than I thought I would, and I’m still putting the important stuff first…for now)

don’t get hooked on an MMO then, kiss your life/girlfriend goodbye!

Prof X was referring the DC’s animated movie All Star Superman, which was far less awesome than the maxiseries by the same name. Basically, DC tried to fit too many stories into the 70 minute time frame and the end result felt choppy and rushed. Now if DC had made each issue a seperate 15 minute short and tossed them in the bonus features that would have been supremely cool.

Bingo. Anyone who knows me knows I may relate to X-men…but Superman is still the same as he was when I was 8 years old as far as respect. That’s why I hate to see it done wrong…like in that last Superman flop/movie and also in All Star Superman. That cartoon is the worst superman media since the movie.

If this new superman movie flops I’m giving up on superman, I’ve never been a huge fan of him. And it’s just because they constantly show him bad on TV.
But that’s the problem with trying to portray someone that everyone knows but make it cool.
I hope this new film pans out.

To me, Snallville (with all of its mistakes and screw ups) was done very well.
They avoided even putting him in the suit and for ten years made the drama between him and Lex truly worthy of watching through. When Rosenbaum left, that show lost its drive…hell, when they killed off the father that almost did it for me in year 5.
What got you guys into comics? i never got the appeal, i love reading but comics always seemed so slow to me. Also i like to imagine my own characters, the fact that every person and scene is laid out for you takes away from it for me.

I liked comics as a kid, but you are exactly stating my problem with them now. I tried reading the Walking Dead comic and kept getting distracted.
I never was into comics much. I knew of them because I saw enough of them over years to understand the stories. I honestly never really got into buying a series of them or anything until I was in college. Spawn is what made me really read them the first time and then the last “Civil War” story line where Cap America dies is what got me back into it.
I honestly don’t have time for that though and only really read them in the military.

Im not going to lie, i’ve seen every episode of smallville. It did have it’s charms, clark was the worst part of the show usually. And yes- the Lex Vs Clark was great but sometimes it was just a bit meh. Then again I giggled like a school girl and clapped when Clark finally zapped luther with his heat vision in Justice League: Crisis on Two Earths

For me it was probably the novelty of it. I grew up in the small town of Perryton, Tx. Things like comic books and toys were generally the result of going to the “big city”. Going to the “big city” only happened once every two or three months. When we moved to Austin in '90 it was pretty amazing that an actual comic shop and movie theater were just a short 1 mile walk from the house. Then they killed Superman in '92 and I stopped buying comics for about 10 years.
Then I discovered Crossgen comics and got hooked once again. I do keep tabs on the mainstream stuff by DC and Marvel, but I much prefer the smaller publishers and offshoots like Vertigo and Dark Horse. While I’m a big Superman fan, I have to admit that better stories are told on the pages of titles like Ex Machina, 100 Bullets, and Fables.

It is supposed to be:
A) Itâ??s one thing to match the Jokerâ??s costume pitch perfectly, itâ??s another to have a full-replica batsuit from the movie.
B) How else do you get an empty main road in downtown Chicago to shoot a funny skateboarding shot?
C) Ledger is (was) a known skateboarder, and thereâ??s a video of him actually skateboarding on set while wearing full Joker make-up (at 23 seconds). ( Joker Being Filmed Skateboarding (plus more) (Fair Use) - YouTube )
So either this is the worldâ??s greatest Photoshop, itâ??s the work of some hardcore skateboarding replica costume enthusiasts, or itâ??s for real. I choose to believe it really is that awesome.

Moved to a different neighborhood in '86, I was never a social butterfly to begin with but after the move I became even worse; I went to the corner store bought my first book and I was hooked. I love the stories especially the mid 80’s DC and Marvel stuff I left in the mid 90’s because Image fucked everything up, and I came back to reading comics steadily during Our Worlds at War one of the best DC crossovers ever.

Ah, I’m so sad. I wanted this to be true.
Still, the photo is amazing.
