A) It¢??s one thing to match the Joker¢??s costume pitch perfectly, it¢??s another to have a full-replica batsuit from the movie.
B) How else do you get an empty main road in downtown Chicago to shoot a funny skateboarding shot?
C) Ledger is (was) a known skateboarder, and there¢??s a video of him actually skateboarding on set while wearing full Joker make-up (at 23 seconds). ( Joker Being Filmed Skateboarding (plus more) (Fair Use) - YouTube )
So either this is the world¢??s greatest Photoshop, it¢??s the work of some hardcore skateboarding replica costume enthusiasts, or it¢??s for real. I choose to believe it really is that awesome.
Ah, I’m so sad. I wanted this to be true.
Still, the photo is amazing.
Huh? You don’t think that leads to its credibility?

What got you guys into comics? i never got the appeal, i love reading but comics always seemed so slow to me. Also i like to imagine my own characters, the fact that every person and scene is laid out for you takes away from it for me.
I wanted to look like the guys I was reading about. For serious.
Which is what eventually led to this whole “working out” thing that’s all the rage these days. There were other factors as well, obviously. But comic books were a very big one for me.

I never was into comics much. I knew of them because I saw enough of them over years to understand the stories. I honestly never really got into buying a series of them or anything until I was in college. Spawn is what made me really read them the first time and then the last “Civil War” story line where Cap America dies is what got me back into it.
I honestly don’t have time for that though and only really read them in the military.
Spawn anime on HBO back in the day were awesome, but man did they fuck up that movie.

Sucks too, because MJW is a bad motherfucker. With the right script and director, he could have blown the hinges off of that character. Now, if they ever reboot it, I’m sure he won’t be used because the studio will want to “start fresh.” A real shame.

Agreed, he was NOT the problem in the movie. It was straight up “B” movie and not a good B movie at that.
This sounds awesome at first, since the book covers a lot of stories that deserve representation in the film, but from what I’ve heard about how it’s actually turning out (straying pretty far from the book), I have a feeling we’re headed for disappointment.
But, say, a mini-series with The Walking Dead’s budget and a true-to-the-book WWZ storyline? That would be a dream come true.

When I was around 11 or so, I ended up at a comic shop with my buddy, where it turns out they also hosted role-playing games (AD&D [of course], DC Heroes, Vampire the Masquerade, etc.). I ended up going there to play once or twice a week, every week, for a bunch of years.
My main draw to the place was the RPGs, but I got kinda interested in comics simply from sitting around them for hours at a time. I never really followed a series, but picked up issues pretty randomly for a while until I sort of drifted away (and the shop closed).
Once in a while now, I’ll thumb through an issue at Barnes and Noble, but they seem so thin and, I dunno, quick to read. I don’t feel a big draw to dive back into it.

Oh my god, I’m so sorry! I’ve got that bad habit to post in some threads and forget about it for days before coming back
To answer your question, the youtube video makes the picture’s scenario quite plausible but I still have my doubt.

Believe it is real, because it is something worth believing in.
Looking at that pic of Batman and the Joker, I’m now certain that it is photoshopped. There’s just something that doesn’t add up.
It’s a bit like those old movies scenes shot in a studio. You know? The background used to blend so well with everything back then and now, with a HD screen you sigh in disappointment 'cos you feel cheated. Yes, they lied to you all these years. Did you really think they were outside in the garden or in the Grand Canyon? Because you can see, right there, yes right there, you can see that bleeping maquette has been used to fool you.
I don’t want to feel that way about that picture in the next 20 years.
The photo is still amazing though. I wouldn’t mind having it in a frame on the wall, in my living room and, spend 10 to 15 mins scrutinizing it as a great piece of fakery.
I’ve finally got Halo anniversary and played it for a couple of hours or so. It feels weird and brings back nice memories. The only difference is I played on the PC back then. Anyone has tried it on 3D yet? I quite like it but the glasses bug me after a while.
What do you guys think about the Kinect features in Halo? Anyone use the voice command online yet?
I’m tempted to try it out. Going to be quite confusing to my team mates as I shout commands on the mic, lol.
