I dont know, to me the overall topic of movies doesnt fit in here, now comic book movies etc does. I keep saying someone should make a thread dealing with everything about all movies.

Agreed.

I want us to pick 5 people who actually like movies so T-Nation can have it’s own “Spill.com”.

Agreed, but not only like, have some fucking balance. Not go watch Expendables and then bitch about lack of character development and the love story between Statham and his cracker no ass girlfriend.

I nominate Wolbarret for one of the guys.

He seems to generally like movies.

+1 to that.

To anyone who likes the Back to the Future movies and/or played the old point and click adventure games (Sierra games and the like), I recommend the Back to the Future Game on PC/PS3. I picked it up for $10 during the PSN summer sale and so far (I just finished episode 1 of 5) it is awesome retro fun.

Plus it’s nice to finally play a good BttF game after all the shit with the BttF name on the original NES.

Yeah, Frank Miller’s Year One, Dark Knight Returns, and Dark Knight Strikes Again books are considered some of the most groundbreaking and influential books/story arcs of all time, and with good reason. His stuff is incredible. I’m really looking forward to this film; hope they do the book justice.

On a side note, I’m starting to get into the DC Universe and animated comic book films and would like some recommendations. Batman is my favorite comic book character, so that’s mostly what I’m looking for, but other suggestions are welcome (heck, they don’t even necessarily have to be DC for that matter). I already own Gotham Knight and I plan on picking up Under the Red Hood very soon. How about Superman/Batman: Apocalypse? That worth checking out?

X, I know you’re one of the more prominent animated film fans around here. Hit me with some stuff.

If you want balance, then I’m the wrong guy. If the lead character is a woman and if its a romantic comedy, I’ll hate it.

Not related, but i just started watching Doll House, i love Eliza Dushku since Faith on Buffy.

This isn’t Geekish, but these podcasts get me through the day. This and Spill.

[quote]Cartoon Network announced that they have signed a development deal to adapt their environment friendly super hero Captain Planet into a live action feature film complete with Planeteers.
Cartoon Network has set up a development deal with Angry Filmworks to produce a live action Captain Planet movie. Don Murphy and Susan Montford will spear head the project and have the exclusive rights to the character.

I’m not sure how to respond to that.

All I remember was that was a cheesy cartoon.
