Damn you guys kill me the only other guy on here who would back me up on the PSN is X and he has been staying off here due to a bunch of tards.

No tards in this thread (with the exception of me) - it’s a safe house!
Seriously though, something is up.
SOE (Sony Online Entertainment) has also been taken offline because of another breach, where 12,700 credit cards have been exposed. I think about 5000 of them are Japanese, but most - if not all - expired in 2007.
Someone has a grudge against Sony, big time.
I heard some dude saying on Xbox Live - whilst playing online, lol - that he’s heard the FBI is involved because of potential terrorist involvement (he’s in the army). I’m taking that with a tablespoon of salt though.

I typically use my PC for mp games so I don’t talk about it on here as much, but I would enjoy being able to play MK with my friends =[ First game I really bought for the sole purpose of online play on my ps3 and it was like, 1 day before the outages.
I’m over the ‘scandal’ part of it, I made sure I’m secure, I would really like for PSN to be back online now.

It’s supposed to be coming back in phases, over the next month it should all be back online.
They’re moving the servers to new datacentres, and drastically improving security.

Finished the story mode so I’m just playing though tournament style, shao kahn pisses me off everytime.
Anyone plan on getting MK for the Xbox?

Well after suing the guy that cracked the PS3, it’s not that hard to imagine who that might be… ![]()
PSN is supposed to be back up this week, and everyone is going to get 1 month free of PSN +. Hopefully they have really good PSN + free games for the month, and good deals on stuff too. I think Sony is pretty smart giving the one month free to everyone - they may be able to get some people to pay for it if they like it.
Pros of Mortal Kombat-
-Very fluid fighting movements that would have blown my mind years back.
-Very extensive game play in that it allows several different fighting scenarios that even include the ability for up to 4 people to play each other on the same system at the same time.
-All of the characters we basically grew up with with tons of blood, broken bones, and gore.
Cons of Mortal Kombat
-WTF is wrong with the hair? This is like “circa 2003” level of hair movement CGI. It looks bad and goes against the fluidity of the rest of the game.
-cut scenes that look just like the regular game play
-a very “so so” story line for the story mode even though I have to admit, I kinda liked it.
Bottom line, it IS worth the money just to finally see the blood we love back in the game.
Baddest character? I would have to go with one of the Kung Fu Brothers.
^^^ Are you playing on an Xbox or PS3?
I’ve been mulling over whether to pickup this game as well, though story lines in a Beat’em Up are irrelevant to me.

Lord help you if you mess this up for me again Bay!!! Notice Shockwave is clearly shown in this trailer, the robot from the teaser is Sentinal Prime not Alpha Trion which is a shame. Some of the rumors floating around are the spaceship that is shown is Omega Supreme and Bay will introduce the dinobots(if he fucks Grimlock up I will hunt him down like an animal).[/quote]
I would love to see dinobots…

Generally the stories of these kind of games completely blow ass but this one was pretty good considering what it is.

Personally I don’t consider this a con. Because the cut scenes lead right into the next fight I think it was a good choice to keep everything flowing along.

Not a pro for everyone but:
Tournament quality gameplay. Previous MK’s weren’t ready for high level competition, MK9 is a much improved system that should see popularity at events like Devastation and EVO. Great spectator game as well.
I’ve heard PSN is going to charge a monthly rate now for online due to upgrades on security.

The interwebz!! I wouldn’t worry about, I mean one person on some forum somewhere will have a theory and some one will run with it like a fact and its spreads. I doubt there would start charging everyone simply because they upgraded security.

It would be a lot more of a wide-spread rumour, but I doubt it too.
Anyway, I don’t have a PS3 so it wouldn’t affect me although a lot of people would be PISSED.
