Ya, I seen it in theater. The funniest part is when the assassin charges only $1.
Yay let’s spoil the movie for people who haven’t seen it.
Something was lacking in the movie, I didn’t really care about the characters and only rooted for Dwayne Johnson’s character because he’s played by Dwayne Johnson.
Spoiler:
I can’t agree. I really felt the african guy from Lost and Oz did a fucking great job. He did a good job hiding that accent as well. The guy from “office linebacker” actually did great as well and I liked that touch about his son being called on the phone. Billy Bob Thorton did great as well…and what better character development than an super rich OCD assassin who is a world reknown computer genius who is bored with life because he has beaten everything so he kills people just for the challenge?

I didn’t say that is wasn’t well acted. I just feel that the script was lacking and the movie turn out to be a color by numbers revenge flick…not that that’s necessarily a bad thing. You know Billy Bob was just a dirty cop trying to cover up his tracks and that he was going to die eventually. Dwayne’s back story was crap, His step daddy treated him like shit so he acts like a Gomer Pyle? I wasn’t impressed with the assassin’s “I beat yoga” smugness. It’s been done before and a lot better (see Tony Stark/Iron Man)

I’m glad I didn’t see it in theaters.

LOL @ Gomer Pyle. The guy spent 10 years in jail without any group affiliation…meaning he just fought off attacks over and over from day one by himself as people tried to kill him. He only had one thing on his mind by the time he got out…kill everyone involved in his brother’s death.
You can’t have a revenge movie without a single focused killer. I mean, look at Afro Samurai. He was fucking insane and there wasn’t much to who he was…because there can’t be when the outcome is a guy who will kill ANYONE who gets in his way.
Too much emotion and they ruin that…even though he went through a drastic change towards the end.
I think you wanted a 3-4 hour movie where every character got their own 30min. There were way too many characters in this for that…without pulling a Kill Bill.

Anyone fans of the Mount and Blade series?
The latest addition: ‘With fire and Blade’ is due out fairly soon.
Guild wars 2 is looking awesome:

Awesome. I really enjoy mount and blade, and despite it’s… lack of sophisticated graphics, I guess and real story, I always find myself coming back to it every once in a while and having fun. I didn’t know there was a new expansion coming out, cool.

Didn’t really spoil the movie it was just one thing that wasn’t very important.

EDIT: successor, I guess. Just googled it lol.
If your machine allows it; there’s plenty of mods that enhance the graphics, while it’s still not anything to write home about - it’s certainly better than the original. Mods in general make this game even more awesome imo.
Not the news I wanted to here for Crysis 2 on the PS3.
I am buying my brothers PC that played Crysis on high settings with no drop in frame rate so just a few updates to the speed of the computer and maybe the graphics card should run Crysis 2 just fine.
My computer is relatively decent but not cutting edge and I’ve been playing Crysis 2 at widescreen res @ 1900 on advanced graphics settings and the frames never drop below 60. BTW the demo is a LOT of fun…probably mainly because I dominate all FPS’s on my computer due to ninja training in Unreal Tournament 99…
Hmm. I should try out the pc demo and see whether they managed to get the performance right this time. I doubt it though.
And let’s face it, the consoles ARE old by now. Can’t expect them to keep up forever… Though they’ve done a remarkable job so far. But that performance was bought at the cost of reducing certain things already.

Oh? So they did get it right? Great, guess I’m buying Crysis 2… Provided that it offers more bang for my buck this time…

I still have Crysis on my current PC and Crysis 2 seems to run better.

Good to hear. Maybe I don’t need a whole lot of mods on my computer then.
Also, that is not to say they won’t have updates for the PS3 for Crysis 2. They even wrote that Crysis 2 looked much better when the demo REreleased to Xbox. However, I am not a game creator but I always thought that the process of changing/updating graphics around takes long term than just a couple of weeks?
I honestly think one of the reasons the Crysis team decided to stage the entire game in an urban environment was is to limit the number of dynamic shadows the crytek engine had to render on the fly. In the first game which was set primarily in a jungle setting, all of the foliage, trees and leaves produced so many intricate shadows. Now the majority of the shadows cast are typically larger and less complex from buildings, bridges etc putting less strain on most systems.
