LOL, you poor bastards.
Yeh its horribly lame, we don’t even get to see the release of the Mortal Kombat reboot (legally that is) But Mortal Kombat really???
So you couldnt order it from Amazon?
This is what I normally do, there’s also eBay if you trust it.

Sounds quite a bit different than a typical zombie game. Apparently it’s an rpg/first person slasher, heavy emphasis on melee combat with a gun(or weapons in general) being a very rare find(which makes sense given that the setting is a vacation resort island in the middle of nowhere). I guess they want to make it like surviving an old school zombie film.

It’s a lengthy video (two guys break down teaser gameplay) but Battlefield 3 is shaping up to be a very good looking game. Going to be on PC, PS3, and I think Xbox. Obviously PC version will be the best. I’ve been trying to get my brother’s PC tower because I put a $200 graphics card in it in order to play Crysis on high setting.

I’m not a massive fan of zombie games, there have been too many of them lately.

This, however, does look pretty good - the cinematic trailer is a massive selling point.

Am I the only one who does not really want to see a straight zombie shooter, but a game like Fallout III with zombies?

No I could see that and I could really get into that.

Zombie discussion. Okay two basic schools of thought for gaming is to limit the ammo and make the fighting engine fucking difficult to fight off slow moving zombies.

Other is of course normal fighting engine with faster moving and more diverse zombies.

Which do you guys prefer?

Do you think they should try to hit the sweet spot of between these?
Limit the ammo but allow more options for killing via environment. Let the player get creative.

Also, allow a recording (few seconds) of the most unique kills and have them uploaded to a gallery where other players could view it and try to top it. Sort of like “Zombie kill of the week” from Zombie Land.

I think unlimited ammo gets boring. I want variety.

Looks promising…but where the fuck is Panthro??

Bump to get back on first page. Anybody got anything new?

Just waiting on Deus Ex and Mortal Kombat to come out. Finally got around to getting GTA 4 (complete edition). Its a love hate relationship, sometimes I love it but most of the time I hate it. Oh and downloading Crysis 2 multiplayer right now.

Anybody DL the DLC for Fallout Vegas?

I’m interest in this as well. I’m a huge fan of the Fallout series.

u don’t like gta4? outside of a few missions i think it was really well done… my fave is prolli vice city tho… but i like the theatrics of gta 4 (european mob… etc)

one thing that did bother me was how glitchy the game was when it came out initially…

If you’re talking about Dead Money, I got it back when it first came out. It’s okay, but nothing great. This is mostly due to the maze like aspect of it. Think going through downtown DC in Fallout 3, but way more frustrating. If I would have known, I still would have bought it, but only because I love the franchise.

The new gear is nothing spectacular, but the story is decent, and most importantly, it raises the level cap. Before that, I was maxed out well before entering the final battle.

If you haven’t, or don’t plan on reading anything about the DLC before getting it, this could be a spoiler. I say could be because it has been mentioned on a lot of the promo stuff that’s been out.

I would have liked it a lot more without the collar around your neck. You’ll be heading down a path, and all of a sudden the beeping starts. So you stop, back up a bit and look around for a speaker or radio. If you find one you can shoot it/turn it off, unless it was one of the shielded speakers. If so, or you don’t see one, you have to decide whether to go back the way you came and find a different way around, or try running through and hopefully out of range before your head explodes.

Also, sometimes there was a speaker or radio there, but it was almost impossible to see due to the low level of light in the area.

It wasn’t bad in concept, there was just too much of it, especially in certain areas. You would be almost at your destination, but would have to plod half way around the map from it to actually make the last thirty feet.

^ Thanks man, how much for the DLC?

If I remember correctly, it was 800 MS points. I haven’t bothered seeing what that converts to in $, but it’s probably around $10-15.

One thing I forgot to mention, near the end, there are a bunch of gold bars you can take. They are worth somewhere around 10,000 caps each. The downside is they also weigh 35 lbs a piece.

Apparently you can take all of them and still finish the game, but I gave up after a dozen or so attempts.

Panthro is in there somewhere and he has the scars to prove it.

Grune may well be a major player in this, going by the trailer.
