All of these look great!

Crysis 2 looks excellent. The multiplayer is COD with nanosuits. [/quote]

Can people please stop comparing EVERY other first person shooter with COD. The multiplayer isn’t Call of Duty, it’s Crysis 2 with nanosuits. Like I said before no one else was saying this when I was playing Crysis 1 for PC so many years ago. Hell, I would say COD copied Crysis. There is only so many things developers can think of to create multiplayer games types until they take ideas from other games.

Interesting note Crysis was released in November/2007 and Modern warfare was released in November/2009.

Do NOT watch this before watching the first one.

Okay awesome, BUT why and the fuck is a little kid off by herself at a resort and the mom and dad holed up in the hotel room? That is like Zombie apocalypse rule number 5 or something.

Am I the only one who does not really want to see a straight zombie shooter, but a game like Fallout III with zombies?

No I could see that and I could really get into that.

Zombie discussion. Okay two basic schools of thought for gaming is to limit the ammo and make the fighting engine fucking difficult to fight off slow moving zombies.

Other is of course normal fighting engine with faster moving and more diverse zombies.

Which do you guys prefer?

Do you think they should try to hit the sweet spot of between these?

I could see both, but the in between would probably not work.

Slow zombies with limited ammunition and where it is actually hard to hit a moving target in the head would be awesome. Iwould also like it to draw attention if you fire a gun.

You would have to THINK what situation to get into, have an exit strategy and so further and so on.

And, at the end of a day of hard scavenging you could relax on a flat roof with a sniper rifle and a case of beer.

I have played both and honestly I think they need to break the mold. Do something new.

I love Dead space, Resident evil has gotten stale. Left for dead was good, but to me the campaign lost something after awhile. I am tired of every game gearing to online gaming.

I think if they managed to include the environment that could work very well in a zombie scenario.

Carbombs, wire traps, picking up random stuff to smash their heads in, basically make it so real that players can come up with completey unexpected stuff to finish off zombies.

I understand making the feeling of desperation with limiting things. I just want to be able to move and reload a gun etc. Making all the zombie’s unique is also a quality I enjoy, the second dead space started to get a little repetitive with the type of zombies. Place is also important, I could see an Island being a big benifit.

You know where a zombie outbreak would totally not work?

Rural Texas.

Zombie outbreak, people get out their pick ups and guns, end of story.

Wow, there’s no way that game is going to make it through the Australian Classification Board and come out unscaved. (Theres no 18+ rating for games in Australia)

So you couldnt order it from Amazon?

Beat Killzone 3. Pretty cool single player. I liked that when you were playing there was tons of background things going on. Such as seeing a moving robot in the distance, planes flying above you etc. It really got you in the game. It felt like from the beginning to the end it was 100mph with no down time.

No, Crysis II multiplayer is most certainly COD with nonosuits. the layout of the HUD is mostly the same. Earning points during the game to upgrade and unlock weapons, yeah, thats the same too, even the menu to do it looks the same. Calling down fire support from a hovering gunship (AKA, attack helicopter) and other special actions in combat, yes they are the same too. One of the only differences is how the character feels (heavier, with more momentum, at least in single player)

It is possible to innovate an FPS. Team Fortress II does it well enough to be its own game, Gears of War does. Halo and Killzone do. Why can’t crytek put in the effort to break the mould, instead of adding cool, but gimmicky nanosuits.
