I’ve never tried watching the Sarah Connor Chronicles but I might start (going by the reviews you guys are giving it)

Anyone seen the Spawn animated series? I like the comics and my mate says the animated series was amazing but I’ve never seen it[/quote]

Are you talking about the old one that started out on HBO? I used to love that. I actually found the DVD of that at Wal-Mart for like $5 a while back.

Here was my favorite quote from that show:

Tony Twist: [opens the door to his limo, and the remains of Overkill fall out] Son of a bitch!

Spawn: That he was. But then again, so are you.

Tony Twist: What the fuck? Who are you? What do you want? Anything, anything at all.

Spawn: I want you to stay out of the alleys, Tony. Your business there is done, understand? Whatever wild hair you had up your ass about that place is officially plucked.

Tony Twist: You - you slaughtered my men!

Spawn: I’ll let you in on a little secret: they were doing bad things. But relax, I’m through killing your men. Next time, if I see one of your brain-dead thugs so much as spit in the direction of those alleys, I’m gonna come back and pay you a little visit, Tony.

And believe me, it won’t be as pleasant as the visit I paid your hired cyborg. So here’s how it goes: as of now, you work for me, and your job is very simple - give me my space. Understand? All I want is a little peace and quiet. Got it, fat boy?

Tony Twist: Yes.

Spawn: Say it.

Tony Twist: I work for you, and you want peace and quiet.

Spawn: And who am I?

Tony Twist: I don’t know.

Spawn: That’s right. You don’t know. Let that little mystery keep you up at night.

The animation series is good, the story was great make sure you get the UNCUT version. The uncut version is the original HBO version.

Not to hijack too much, but -

Has anyone tried the live chat-while-you-watch thingy that comes with “The Dark Knight”?

I picked up the BR version today, but was at a tax seminar all day, and I won’t get to watch it until Saturday.

I tried doing that once for some online TV episodes… it was filled with idiots like you see in all the youtube comments.

Spawn was a good series, it’s a shame it didn’t last. The comics got pretty freaking nutty, I started with number one but stopped in the late 30’s.

My brother still plays Magic: The Gathering, the cards now are truly crazy.

I need to get that on DVD. I watched the first season religiously and then didn’t have time to keep up with it.

Very cool! That’s one of the games I’ve been looking forward to.

I just ordered a couple of Olaf Stapledon books off of Amazon. Should make for an interesting Christmas gift.

One site I’ve been looking at a LOT lately is http://www.threadless.com/. They have a ton of really sweet shirts and some are for $5, which makes for a good stocking stuffer.

Ok…I went a seen Day The Earth Stood Still…and I probably would have enjoyed it a little better if it wasn’t for the trailer for X-Men Origins:Wolverine.

Thats all I could think about through the entire movie…which was just an ok movie by the way.

I was supposed to go see that today, but I got in a car accident instead.

I just saw Dark Knight on blu-ray. I had seen it in theaters.

I don’t like blu-ray at all. There is something wrong with the framerate of blu-ray films, as if the framerate fluctuates from standard cinema frame rates (24 fps, I believe) to something a little bit higher, then drops back down. This makes the film seem unnatural for very brief moments.

I’m not sure if anyone knows what I’m talking about, but I have noticed it with Spiderman as well. It’s weird. I dig the clarity of picture but the frame rate is weird and sometimes its a little too contrasty.
