anyone see what Terance Howard had to say about Iron Man 2?
I’m not sure what to think about that. I actually wish I knew who was right in that because it sucks to change that character between sequels. He played Rhody just fine and would have been a more appropriate choice in my opinion for War Machine if for no other reason than he is more filled out and “athletic looking” than Cheedle(sp?).
Here is something I read back in November. I don’t know how true it is, but it may shed some light on the situation.
It seems that Howard was the beneficiary of a freak negotiating snafu. Somehow, having been the first to sign on to the Iron Man movie, he was able to make a sweetheart deal and was actually the highest paid actor on the whole project. Reports say he made more money than Jeff Bridges, Gwyneth Paltrow and yes, even more than Robert Downey Jr! Can you believe that?
Due to how things played out, by the time everyone was signed on, there was no way to renegotiate Howard’s contract. So, he lucked out on the legal and kept a leading man’s salary for his co-starring role. But when it came time to do the bean counting for Iron Man 2, Marvel offered Howard a drastically reduced payday–possibly as much as 80% less than what he’d made for the first movie, and more in line with the supporting cast member?s salary of the first film. Then when Terrence blew them off, as they knew he would, Marvel went straight for Cheadle, which may have also been premeditated.
The article also states that in order to promulgate this plan, Jon Favreau and screenwriter Justin Theroux minimized Jim Rhodes? role in the sequel, but that after Marvel got the cold response from Terrence Howard and secured Don Cheadle, they beefed up Rhodeys role.
The biggest features is gaming beyond Project Purity and the level cap will be reset to level 30. One new perk will allow Dogmeat to respawn if he dies. And I will finally be able to shoot down those blasted Enclave VTOLs.
Just downloaded hulk vs. wolverine 5. It sucked major balls. They totally fucked the dog getting she-hulk involved. The whole thing is a series of fucked up flashbacks, and way too much time wasted explaining them. Bummer. I probably won’t even waste my time on issue 6. I no longer give a fuck.

It is possible to have a nerdgasm already?
I plan on having multiple nerdgasms before summer is up…I ready for pics of Scarlett Johansson as Black Widow.
Yeah, that should be good for sure. Although, she has a lot to live up to now that the pictures of Jessica Biel nude from Powder Blue have begun to leak.

I’m curious to how big these pay cuts were. I was suprised they had a big name like Paltrow play a fairly small part in the first one. Changing actors between sequels is annoying though.

The level 20 cap was pretty fucking stupid anyway.
I wasn’t aware that there were 2 addons already out for F3, are they worth getting?
And how the fuck do you get dogmeat anyway? I never found him.

They set him up for that. They knew they fucked up with the original agreement. Terrance Howard simply did what most of us would have done by expecting at least as much for a sequel if not much more. That movie made billions and is still making money. Hell, I may watch it again this weekend. Either way, it isn’t like Iron Man producers are living in the poor house.
They just sat back and waited for him to bitch about his pay check and then canned him.

I can’t really fault Howard in that situation.
Even so, I would of assumed Cheadle would cost more to begin with. Outside of Crash and Iron Man, I have never seen Howard. But as long as the movie is good, I could care less.
I saw Spiderman 4 is scheduled to be premiered around May 2010. Although I thought they have all kind of sucked, I will still go watch it. Anyone got high expectations?

I played Fallout 3 using a disc my brother loaned, he made me give it back just before the first DLC came out. I have yet to buy my own copy, but probably will once I get back on shore next Tuesday. From what I’ve heard the first two DLC’s are just short extra missions that don’t add much to the gameplay. Broken Steel is the big game changer. One exception being that Operation: Anchorage is accessible as soon as you download it, and upon completion you gain the ability to operate power armor. So really in a new game you could play nearly all of Fallout 3 wearing power armor instead of waiting to get it from the brotherhood. If you wanted to be the ultimate bastard and kill everybody then power armor would give you a leg up on that early on.
Dogmeat is found in Scrapyard, a location between Megaton and Minefield I believe. Its a big junkyard with cars and buses stacked all over the place with a couple cranes if I remember right. Kind of hard to miss once you see it. Once inside the junkyard you should hear the sounds of a fight, gunshots and the last screams of dying raiders. Follow those sounds and you should Dogmeat enjoying a mid-morning raider sammich.

No, not unless they change out Tobey for someone who can actually play the part of Spiderman better and get better writers to force the same.
Spiderman is a wise ass. He is sarcastic as hell and his mouth is the showcase of his character when in costume. I can’t remember Tobey in the movies saying even one thing funny when in costume. He plays the nerd in and out of costume…which is NOT how the character is in the comics or even on most of his animated incarnations.
They lost it with me with that last piece of crap. Sandman was the best character in the whole movie. Mary Jane sucks along with everyone else aside from JJ Jamison and Aunt May. Everyone else needs to be replaced.

You forgot to mention the Chinese stealth armor and the Gauss Rifle.
There was also the shock sword, which is decent if you wanted to melee.

I’m all about Big Guns and Energy Weapons. Vengeance, a mini-gun, a flame thrower, the Alien Blaster, and A3-21’s Plasma Rifle is all I needed to be happy. Nobody wears Tesla Armor because they want to hide.
