I haven’t seen it yet, but I haven’t heard good things. Seems like when a movie is delayed that long, it never ends up turning out well.

Is it out? I cant wait to see it

The new Marvel Universe toy line is set to release next month. This puts Marvel’s superheroes in the 3 3/4" scale, right along side GI Joe and Star Wars. If you ever wanted an Avengers vs Cobra battle now is you chance.
There is also a 70 heroes for the 70th anniversary thing going on over at Hasbro’s site. You can vote for 5 characters that you would like to see given plastic form. Top 5 vote getters will be featured in the line up in 2010.

Yeah, it came out on the 6th, but in limited release. I think it started playing more theaters this week, but I still don’t think it’s everywhere.
I just checked Fandango and it’s not playing anywhere near me. Looks like I’m going to have to wait for DVD.

Mass Effect 2 Trailer

DUDE, YES!!!
Still definitely one of my favorite games… maybe ever? For some reason, I could never get over the whole twist with the Reapers. Brilliant storytelling.
I think I’ve played through it 6 times now and still have some achievements to knock out.

It was a great game! Watching that trailer has motivated me to play through the game again. I played it neutral/good last time. I want to play through it again being a dick to everyone.
Shit! I forgot I let my friend borrow it, so I’ll need to get it back from him first. He didn’t even like the game either. I guess too much story and not enough button mashing for him. I called him an unsophisticated smacktard and then he punched me in the pants.
I hope they don’t f-up the movie. They have a such a great story to draw from.
Vader,
You finished Watchmen, right? I still have it on my desk. Can’t believe I put it down…wasn’t bored with it at all but got busy.
I need a good read. I’ll pick it up again this week.
I thought I could get into the Gears of War novel but no dice. I’ll try that one again this summer.
You liked Mass Effect for the story, so did you like Assassin’s Creed for the story as well?

Gaming for 2009 Preview at IGN. Getting caught up with all the games that came out during the holiday season, I have been out of touch with the games for this year. The past two years have been great for gamers, 2009 is looking primed to keep carrying that torch.

Yeah, that’s kind of my concern as well…

There are a bunch of games on that list I’ve been looking forward to for a while. Lots of good stuff this year. I’ve been looking forward to Brutal Legend for over a year now. I really hope it doesn’t end up sucking.
The description for X-Men Origins: Wolverine really has me intrigued. You mean he actually uses his claws (with gore!) and regenerates in real time? Say it isn’t so.
Dragon Age, FFVIII, Prototype…there’s so many good games coming out.

I got hooked on Mass Effect, I couldn’t put the controller down for the last couple chapters, and that ending left me waiting for for ME2. Like wise I am eagerly awaiting Assassin’s Creed 2.

Agreed. It was like a reading a great book that you couldn’t put down. I think I stayed up until like 3 am on a work night finishing the game.

I’ve been keeping my eye on Brutal Legend since GameInformer did it’s big story on the game a year or so ago. Then very little info was ever released about it. Borderlands got a similar treatment. I understand the need for developers to keep secrets, but would it kill them to release a couple screenshots every couple months or so.

Yeah, I finished reading The Watchmen on Tuesday. Like with Mass Effect, once I got into it, I had a hard time putting it down. As SSC, Wilmernuts and others have said, the end just ties together really well. It was like 1 am and I had two chapters to go and I couldn’t stop reading it.
I loved Mass Effect for the story. While I felt that Assassin’s Creed had a great beginning, I was one of the guys that got bored with the gameplay and never finished the game. I barely got halfway though. Just not my type of game, I guess. That’s all I can really say about it.

I take it you have a Game Stop card too then, eh? I still have that GameInformer that talks about Brutal Legend. ![]()
Brutal Legend was pretty much done I heard, but it got help up when the whole Activision thing went down. I have no idea why Activision would drop the game (as they did with Ghostbusters).
I had heard that EA picked the game up, but now Activision is claiming that their deal is invalid and is still in negotiation with Double Fine to publish the game. Sounds like they want money. This sounds eerily similar to the deal with The Watchmen.
The better not delay the game any longer than it already has been.
