Not taking any chances. Picked up the Blu-Ray at Target on the way to work this morning.
Nice.
I see Amazon here is doing the same package, might just pick up the DVD.
Yeah, it’s a pretty nice set. Although, Target had one of the BAT-POD packaging, and I have to say, it was pretty nice too. Not sure if would spend $50 on it, but it was still pretty cool.

Getting it on Blu-ray today.
I love blu-ray. I love 1080P.
Any thoughts of getting a PS3 vs. stand alone player?
PS3 hands down. It is another computer. I can now surf the web in high def on a big screen.
I bought my BR player before the PS3 came out with the blu-ray player option.
I have a family, so having a gaming console in the living room is not very practical. My son has the 360 in his room, and is getting a 720p flat screen for christmas, as is my daughter.
If I were single and lifeless like my huge friend ProfX, I would have my entire living room turned into a gamers/interwebz/homeheater lair. So I have to settle for making the living room as home theatery as I can, and hang out on my son’s room for gaming, and sit that the kitchen table with my laptop for interwebbing.
Best Buy has the Bose Lifestyles v20 home theater systems on for 10% off. It’s all I need to finish off my living room.
Let me know if you have to pick your jaw off the floor like I did…especially the end of the trailer.
WOW!
That’s all I can say. Next summer is already starting to shape up nicely.
Hell yeah…I like the poster…and here’s a tid bit of what they’re doing with Arnold’s T-100/T-800 character(s)(from wikipedia):
* Roland Kickinger as the prototype T-800: This will be the first Terminator film in which Arnold Schwarzenegger does not play the Model 101 Terminator, because he is serving as Governor of California.[21] The Austrian-born Kickinger previously portrayed Schwarzenegger in a 2005 biographical film on the A&E Network. When asked about his role, Kickinger said it's "Arnold's character in the first Terminator. That's basically my role, but 20 years before, so it establishes how the Terminator [came] about." He also revealed that there is a "very strong scene in the film where John Connor for the first time meets the Terminator, and he doesn't know if he's a good guy or a bad guy."[22] Polish strongman athlete Mariusz Pudzianowski was also considered for the role.[23]
Schwarzenegger visited the set, leading to rumors he was providing his voice and got scanned for a digital double, which would be mapped onto Kickinger’s physique. He had granted the Halcyon Company permission to use his likeness in the film.[24] McG would only admit “We’re trying to synthesize a human character with a CGI character and that may or may not have something to do with the T-800.”[25]

I saw an article ranking the top Blu-Ray players and not only was the PS3 the top ranked player, but it was also the least expensive (or tied for the least expensive) of the ranked players. Plus, you get the gaming platform. We’ll be getting one…eventually.
I know there is talk about the PS3 and how wonderful it is. For those (like me) who are thinking about getting one but still not sure, SONY STYLE is offering a $150 credit towards a PS3. If I am not mistaken, this would make it $249. Take a look here…

have the link? if not, no biggie
Looking at that link again, I realize it wasn’t the least expensive, but I think I thought of it as being the least expensive when you look at the value added by the gaming and the internet.
Alright, help me out. I’m a graphic novel geek. Gimme some good titles. I’ve read most of the usual suspects – Watchmen, Dark Knight Returns, V for Vendetta, etc. – and I’m just for some pointers on anything I may be missing.
I’m in the middle of reading Y: The Last Man, and I just started getting the Sandman, but haven’t gotten to reading them.
