I really, really worked on not spoiling my kids, was easy since we had 5.

They got some cool stuff, but they had to share and it was always in moderation.

For a second I thought 1998 Godzilla was poking his head around the corner there at the end.

That or Transformers looks like Soundwave is making a cameo and that goddamn noise I hate that bwom wound in trailers

I am probably one of few who is stoked about Hawkyeye. Hopefully he is done justice.

LOL! I am seeing this!! Ving’s guns, Dr Emmet Brown’s crazy eyes… and the Hoff. This better not be a shitty parody.

HOLY SHIT!!

Now this is what I’m talking about. Up till now, I never felt any excitement about the movie. This trailer’s done it. I’m in. I was upset about Ed not being involved but I don’t give a damn now.

The new Hulk looks awefuckingsome.
Bujo wrote:

Wow. Those are some weak ass arguments.
Yeah, best not to be a tool right out of the gate. Branagh drew inspiration for Loki from the character Edmund in King Lear who was a back-stabbing bastard (literally). Most of Loki’s early dealings with Laufey took place off-screen, so its not a “weak ass” argument to suggest that he executed his entire plan in this manner and didn’t change tack mid-way to a direct attempt to usurp the crown with no back-up plan
1. The Odinsleep.
If things had worked out according to plan then there wouldn’t be a fight between Odin and Loki. Loki would have been the savior of Asgard. Odin would have given the crown to Loki, assuming Odin ever awoke.
Loki was never going to last as king and he knew it. The Asgardians knew he was a traitor (Heimdall flatly refuses to acknowledge him as king) and he did absolutely nothing during his tenure as ruler, if that was his only objective. He made no attempt to conquer Frozenheim and he left a trophy room of goodies - including the frakking Infinity Gauntlet and The Casket of Ancient Winters gathering dust. Very poor attempt to seize and hold power; so bad you could say it was deliberate.
2. Loki didn’t go to Earth to taunt Thor. He went to remove any and all hope Thor may have had for returning to Asgard, thus eliminating the one other claim to the throne. Loki was shoring up his position as the new ruler.
So why is Loki clearly enjoying himself so much?
3. Heimdall’s powers are not tied to the bridge.
Haimdall failed to see the Frost Giants breaking into the armory, Loki’s solo trip to Frozenheim, and Loki’s trip to Earth. All events occurred prior to the destruction of the Rainbow Bridge. If you weren’t sharp enough to pick up on that Heimdall also confronts Loki about it on screen. Loki, also on screen, admits to knowing how to hide from Heimdall’s gaze and move between realms sans Bifrost bridge.
I picked up on all of those events thank you very much. If what I said didn’t fully account for Loki’s unique ability to travel between realms, then Loki wouldn’t be able to get to Earth without the Bridge. I was also “sharp enough” to notice that one of the first things Loki did as king was to order Heimdall to open the Bifrost and swear allegiance to him. Loki couldn’t completely avoid Heimdall’s gaze - it was said that Loki knows of secret pathways unknown to even Heimdall, but Loki wanted Heimdall neutralised one way or the other because Heimdall would know he was on Earth.

If Heimdall’s powers in the movie weren’t tied into the Bridge in some way (and by that I mean amplified by the Bridge, not given by it), then why can’t Heimdall see Loki after he has fallen and presumes him dead with the rest of them?
4. Selvig wasn’t looking for the Cosmic Cube. He was looking for Nick Fury, the guy who summoned Selvig to whatever basement they were in. Selvig didn’t even know there was a Cosmic Cube until it was revealed to him and Loki both.
Loki knew of the Cube. It was part of Odin’s ‘collection’ but was lost (it was found in the grip of a dead viking - hint, hint). Why else would Loki be controlling Selvig if he wasn’t already seeking it out? To find Nick Fury?
Loki lost the match to Thor and the prizes too. The Cosmic Cube is the set up for the rematch. There is a reason Loki is known as the trickster god and not “The Conqueror of All Creation” God.
Loki knew the Cube was on Earth, but he couldn’t pursue it with all of Asgard keeping tabs on him. That was his “prize”. He tried to gain control of the Bifrost through Heimdall, which was only possible by becoming king, failed, then got what he wanted by fighting Thor on the bridge. The Odinsleep is temporary, Loki was an awful ruler (too awful for that to be his prime objective) and he knew Odin was on his way back.

The plan isn’t convoluted at all; it’s methodical and far more plausible than a direct bid for a rulership that couldn’t last. Just because they didn’t spell it out doesn’t make it a “weak ass” argument; the clues are there.

And if Loki was so easily defeated by Thor on the BB then he’s not going to pose much of a threat to Thor + Avengers.

Something tells me this is going to end up being “Iron Man (3) and His Avenger Pals”

There might be too many big name actors/characters for everyone to get decent screen time.

BTW where the hell is Ant-Man?

Looks like the UK gets it April 26th. Here in Asia it’s April 25th.

DOn’t worry, I won’t spoil anyting…the trailer, though awesome, seems to have spoiled enough.

Didn’t you see him? Watch the trailer again and look closely at Captain America’s left boot.

I see Stark rubbing everybody up the wrong way (which is good), but Joss Whedon is very good at juggling a lot of characters and giving them all a fair share of the spotlight. He proved that with Serenity.

Ant-Man is still waiting for a solo movie. Edgar Wright (Shaun of the Dead and Scott Pilgrim) is attached as director.

Im liking the possibilities.

Great trailer. If this is true then why trade Norton for Ruffalo? Seems odd. I assumed Hulk would be more side character and that’s the reason Marvel replaced Norton.

I thought it was because Norton wanted more control and the Mouse doesn’t like to tgive up that type of vreative control
