The Dead
Possibly one of the most realistic zombie movies made so far.
Buddy dropped of a copy on a flash drive and I am gonna watch it in the coming three day weekend. Will let you know how I like it. Not a big zombie movie fan but this one seems different.
I watched Splinter based on your recommendation and got a kick out of it. That one was good.

Dude, I never realized how creepy a desert could be.
Watching it right now on my computer. First 40 minutes are excellent. Indeed very realistic and really good acting.
Edit:
SHIT! I nearly jumped out of my seat when they found that makeshift church
Edit II: That was a really good movie, very well thought out. Very impressed with both lead actors as well as how the zombies were portrayed. Normally the zombies themselves annoy me but in this movie they did not. The eerie slow moving, the non blinking as well as them being mostly silent made for a very good effect.
Good story, good movie.
You remember the specific zombies more this way…which is what Romero was always griping about. He liked spending time on certain zombies to make them stand out…sort of like Dawn of the Dead with the “let’s shoot celebrity look-a-likes” scene. For instance, I liked the first one with the broken leg. His movements were perfect and it made him stand out.
Dude, he was awesome. Sent chills down my spine and made me put my shake down for a moment. I was totally into that scene. Like you said, very good acting all around, even the ones that had no speaking part. Most of the times zombies ‘overact’, for lack of a better word and these guys did a fantastic job. Must have been one hell of a director too.
