Well this happened, first pic of Lone Ranger film with Depp as Tonto. At least they got the Ranger’s hat white, for those not in the know his hat is very very white having been bleached in the sun by Tonto who helped nurse him back to life. Depp looks like Capt Jack Sparrow wind talker man he looks dumb

I bet he’ll pull of the role well though.

He’s got Kabuki man down if that’s the role he’s after
I’m not a fan of Indigo Prophecy, nor Heavy Rain but I do like this new tech teaser from Quantic Dream (it’s really not a trailer)
it’s called ‘Kara’

I bet he makes it classic.
Look, the original Tonto was treated like an idiot sidekick…which did not exactly go over well with the Native Americans.
I think they are attempting to mock that in a way…thus the choice for Depp.

This has a Ghost In the Shell and A.I feel.
I like it.
Kara…I would probably watch that movie.

Assassins Creed III trailer…loving this concept. Can’t wait!
Dang it. I feel pretty lukewarm about this. They could have at least given him a brand new costume fit for the 16th century. And he’s gonna be cold out there.
It’s not too far from actual Native American and colonial garb, imo. More importantly,I’m anxious to see how they tweaked the gameplay to fit with the terrain of 16th North America.
I thought the last Assassins Creed was a bit stale after how awesome II and brotherhood were. This looks refreshing I think.
the last AC game was just an expansion of Ezio’s world. He became popular…so they cashed in on it.
Notice they did not call that “ACIII”. It was it’s own dive into that same concept.
This one is the next step…and seeing how far advanced ACII was to ACI, I expect the same here.

I haven’t even finished the last one, it didn’t seem to have an edge over the previous versions so I got a little bored with it.
I’m looking forward to the next one though.

I’m conflicted.
On one hand, I very much agree with you.
On the other, I wish they would have just got a decent indian actor to play Tonto. Specifically, I would have loved for Wes Studi to get a big role, but he may be too old/simply over badass the Ranger.

I’ve had parts of this werewolf clip stuck in the back of my head for 20-something years, but I’d forgotten the name of the show. I just got around to searching and I’m so psyched that I found it.
I can’t be the only one who used to watch this. Anyone else? I think I remember it being on in the mornings before school. Half the show was game reviews with this kid and the other half was a cartoon with Kwirk, the Bigfoot truck, a guy from NARC, and a basketball player.

Color me impressed. They’ve got my curiosity piqued, I’d like to see where the story goes next.

Haha! I knew you would be.
Sorry.

Any of you geeks know how to close files that are open in System? Even when they start up in ‘Safe Mode’?
I am trying to delete an .iso copy of Doom 3 (DOOM3_ULTIMATE) since it is taking up 2.5 gigs of space… but it keeps telling me it is open in System and insists on displaying the icon for my DVD drive despite uninstalling the mounting software and logging on in Safe mode.
Unfortunately, that’s the extent of my computer savvy. And it’s kind of a grudge match at this point between man vs. machine, but since I don’t have the ability to send my buddy back in time to not only fix the problem, but father me, as well, I need to outsource this issue to the pros.

Not trying to be an ass or buzz kill or anything, But historically speaking what has been revealed of the plot doesn’t make much sense. a Native American fighting the British during the revolutionary war period doesn’t was highly unlikely, Seeing as the vast majority of tribes sided with the British.
Never mind. The software uninstall didn’t take going through the control panel, is all.
Derp.

The game won’t be about British vs. Americans - it will (just like always) be about Templars vs. Assassins. Assassins Creed uses history as a back ground, but has never claimed (or tried to be) historically accurate. It’s a work of fiction.
I would be willing to bet there are going to be Templars and Assassins on both sides in the game.
