Exactly (though I didn’t think they were quite making fun of him in the trailers). I was expecting a Blankman-ish movie, and got something quite different. But it did have a handful of legit funny parts.

Meh. You and I have different definitions of hot.

Question for all you comic geeks:

I have recently bought 3 Batman comic books (Year One, Killing Joke and Dark Knight Returns) as I was told these were some of the best. What other batman (or any other character for that matter) comics are also good?

I like the girls that have “issues” I can smell them like a lion hunting a gazelle in Africa.

Joker’s Last Laugh is a under appreciated collection, a doctor at Arkham tells the joker he’s dieing and hilarity ensues.
No Man’s Land Gotham is rocked by an earthquake and the US government quarintines the city so Batman must keep peace and order in an outlaw town run by gangs
Green Lantern Rebirth Hal Jordan knocks out Batmna with one punch(ONE PUNCH)
Green Lanter The Sinestro War

This thread is huge to go through but has anyone here seen the show Pure Pwnage on showcase?

Any gamer could relate to this brand of comedy me thinks. I can’t post a link but some parts of the episodes are on youtube, type in pure pwnage, FPS Doug is insane, BOOM HEAD SHOT! LOL.

I can’t watch it. I tried, but I found it pretty sloppy and not well-written or acted.

I just finished the three seasons of Avatar, and despite its target demographic being kids ages 6-11, I thought it was pure fucking awesomeness. Best kids cartoon since the Batman Animated Series. It just had so many awesome characters and a very cohesive story. Toph and Iroh are the shit.

Crysis 2 in-game footage:

Looks really good!

^ I agree, only thing I saw was no crosshairs/dot sight. Having to waste bullets for reference will suck. Other than that loved the enviroment damage when getting shot at very realistic.

What about this game?

Thunder
Thunder

Thundercats
HOOOOOOOOOOO!!!

Any word on if it’s going to be live action or cg?

Either way, the original cartoon sucked balls.

Then why bother showing interest in a ThunderCats movie?

I want to start watching Star Trek. Where should I start?

Not sure if it’s been mentioned in the thread before, but has anyone played Alan Wake? It’s REALLY good.

I would PM Nards, he’s the guy with the Rowdy Roddy Piper avatar, I believe he’s a trekie.

I like movies maybe? The things that sucked about the cartoon probably won’t be prevalent in the movie.

Though I’m sure the movie will pull a GI Joe and be a monumental disaster as well.

I remembered you mentioning that you go on Trek message boards some time ago. I was going to tell the guy to check out The Wrath of Khan first but then I thought everything else would be a let down after that lol. The last prequel movie was excellent too. I’m not a trekie but I do have a black and white life size door poster of Spock holding a phaser that I’ve had since
high school that looks awesome imo, not sure if it’s a collectible or not, maybe it’s commen, I have no idea.
