Rent or Buy? I normally buy games and then trade in at Gamestop. Only keep games that I will play down the road like Fallout 3, Tiger Woods Golf etc.
I only rented the first one and never thought it was a buy. It may be a buy for the online multilayer which I haven’t played so, I do not know what to expect. Visually it’s a little better. I would rent first then base my thoughts off that. Again, I’m basing my standpoint off of the demo.

Thanks for the info, my wife is taking the daughter out of town for cheerleading competition and I have to two teenage boys this weekend. So no girls, football and video games all weekend. Thought about picking this one up so we can all play.

OK I beat Dragon Age Origins a few days ago, I should have stayed with Assassin’s Creed 2.
Told you.

I know I know. Everyone said that Dragon age was amazing. Then I found out it was a 90-100 hour game. I beat it in 45, while still completing over 90% of all the side quests. Got every character, the best weapons, and all the best armors in the game.
It is kind of “video game-ish”, the characters are flat…but the same guys that made this made the first Resident Evil. They also use memory loss again to play out the story line…and it works really well…again. It isn’t scary enough to count as “horror”, but they might make your girl jump a little.
I’m in bad need of a good sci fi, slim pickings these days.
It aims at being both…but the psychological aspect of the movie is heavier than any scares it has. I don’t think I actually jumped at anything in the movie. Aside from Dennis Quaid, most of the actors in this aren’t that well known (you’ve seen them in other movies but as supporting cast). I would personally just call it “sci-fi”. It isn’t on the level of movies like Event Horizon, but at least it held my attention.

I don’t know about you, X. But Event Horizon was the shit!

L.Fishburne is the fucking man!
I can quote that movie word for word. That is how many times I’ve seen it. The only movie I’ve seen more times than that is Dawn of The Dead remake.
No, this one doesn’t come to that level but it has its own qualities that, if you can accept the basic premise of the movie (the video game likeness of it since most video games seem to have plots about as deep and this flows well with movies like the first Resident Evil), then you will probably like it.

I saw Pandorum in theaters. I liked it. It reminded me of Event Horizon, but with no black people.
SPOILER ALERT!!!11
I hated that they gave the Samoan guy the typical “Colored Person’s Last Stand” fight. And if the Samoan dude hadn’t of listened to the white guy…things could have been different.
If it’s like Event Horizon that’s not too surprising since Paul WS Anderson was involved in both. I loved Event Horizon myself - one of my favourite ever horror movies. I will definitely check this out.
