Right–better schools, in other words. And perfectly doable. Can you erase what’s done at home? No. But if you balance it better, more kids are going to end up toppling in your direction. To think this impossible is ridiculous.

so better schools would possibly change things for the better. Yet, I just read an article recently about Chicago closing many schools in the poor neighborhoods. Is this being done by design or what?

Not better, different. Well, since I actually worked in inner city schools and lived in an inner city I think I just might have the advantage in this. Don’t underestimate the environment. It’s not about making the schools tougher but creating a certain culture within the school but, that culture will be the opposite of what the kids see outside of the school and that’s the hard part. It will be about competing messages unless the parents are willing to accept that the message they are sending is wrong. Good luck with that.

We don’t even have to guess or assume as we already know the answer. The best schools are those in which the parents, community and schools are on the same page. Thus, the idea that a school can be successful by trying to exist in a vacuum is just a gamble. Besides, the costs will be higher in the short term which is how we look at things in this country right now. The only way I can see it working is by separating the “bad” kids from the “good” kids. The families who have demonstrated a willingness to be involved and accept what the school is trying to do can all have their kids in a school that is trying to do things the best way possible. The others can just do what they were doing all along in a separate school. Right now you have schools taking out the top 10% of students and sending them to better schools when they should be taking out the bottom 10%. The point being that as long as the bad apples are allowed amongst the good it will bring everyone down regardless of what the school does.

I think it’s very possible by design in order to destroy the teachers’ union. The liberal elite right now are trying to do away with teaching as a profession so they can introduce TFA who are basically robots that follow the party line as written by people like Bill Gates. I know it’s fashionable to hate unions but what people need to understand is that when it comes to education you have several voices: teachers, administrators, politicians and parents. What the Common Core plan has in mind is to remove one of those voices, teachers, so that its advocates will have more power. Administrators will cave because Bill Gates (or orgs that he funds) will give them money (this is already happening). Parents won’t have a clue about what is going on and if they do speak up it will be them vs a “genius” billionaire. So what is happening is that education will become centralized and controlled by liberal elites who will also profit from it.

I haven’t came to the conclusion that all white people do horrific things based off these men. I’ve came to the conclusion that some humans are sick and do horrific things. They may be white and from Kansas like me (see Rader). German ancestory like me (see Hitler) They may be black. They may be Hindu. They may be Methodist. They may be Atheist. They may be Muslim. Corruption, violence, hatred, it doesn’t have a race. It doesn’t have a religion. It doesn’t have a hair color. It doesn’t have a specific eye color.

You think it does. You NEVER post about anything horrible someone white has done. Is it your image you’re trying to upkeep? Are you afraid if you do someone will come to the conclusion you are also horrible since you share the same skin color? Or is that type of uneducated and irrational conclusion just a hallmark of your posts?

And you never talk about solutions or what should be done. All you do is run around screaming look at what black people have done. I’m not convinced you don’t google search the news daily HOPING to see a black person do something horrible so you can post about it.
