With all respect, you really need to learn what the hell you’re talking about when it comes to history. The dark ages were not the result of church indoctrination. In fact you could potentially argue the reverse: church indoctrination was the result of the collapse into the dark centuries of European history. I don’t think I would try it, but it is a more tenable position than the nonsense you just posted.

Well, first off, homosexuality didn’t really bring about the fall of the Western Roman Empire. The Visigoths did that by blockading the Tiber and cutting off grain shipments from Africa. By all reports, they were for the most part heterosexual. The Eastern Empire fell when the Muslims conquered Constantinople. Again, a largely heterosexual lot.

If our empire falls it will more likely be a result of economic failure leading to a weakening of our infrastructure and ability to project military power than it will be due to any imagined weakening of social mores brought on by tolerance of homosexuality. Western Civilization, as represented by Europe, Anglophone Oceania and the Americas, probably has at least another century of preeminence before it is eclipsed by Islam, China and India.

Me being a precious metals bug, I can predict a new bimetallic (and perhaps tri-metallic, if platinum ever gains its historical ground over gold) monetary standard, which the new Islamic, Chinese and Indian civilizations will have already incorporated into their social and economic paradigms.

I’m not sweating it, in other words.

We hate, what we fear. I think if you look at homophobia as fear of homosexuals you might find a problem with that as a “homophobe” might not fear individual gays however, if you look at homophobia as fear of homosexuality that is a different matter. Just listening to the anti-gay rhetoric it’s obvious it is all fear based. “What about the children!!!?”

Fear can exist without hate but hate can’t exist without fear. I’m talking about more of an ideological based hate. I mean, you can hate broccoli but that hate is different from hating someone because of their religion or race.
