No specifics, though.
Too late for that. You’ve gotta pay to play.
I’ll wager 1 Gal of Unleaded this will take longer to resolve.
In the mean time better stock up on Precious Metals, to hedge agains crippling effects of inflation.
Gold @ $924/Oz is a F’bargain.
Those K&N Airfilters are also making lots more sense, at these prices they’ll pay for themselves withing 6-12 mos.

You’re right, but it has to start somewhere… sometime.
Diesel is $5/gal here in central CT.
A few months ago I expected 4.20 for reg gas by Sept, but it’s already here.
It will cost me $130/month to drive to school if I commute next semester, and I drive a civic. Very likely will get a rent there.
I would bike to work right now, but my job entails lifting ~20,000lbs of boxes each night, so I don’t want to add a 50 minute bike ride each way to that. I’m actually seriously looking into putting a 600watt motor on a bike. It’d save me $25/week and pay for itself quickly.
here on in Ontario Canada its 1.30 a LITRE!!
$4.09-$4.15 for 87
Diesel is over $5
Gas = $3.85 regular, $4.13 for Premium
Diesel = $4.79
$1.28/liter today, filled up 80L. Ouch ![]()

???
where in jersey? I live just north of nyc, and any time I’m in jersey (usually north jersey) I make a special point of filling up since the prices are so much cheaper
You guys are lucky. 166 yen a liter, Tokyo. That’s 630 yen a gallon, around 6 dollars.

Alright I get it, Gas is getting f’expensive.
Now what?
What are you gonna do about it?
Walk/Run?
Bike/Motor/Scooter?
Bus/Train?
Downgrade to smaller car?
I still drive as much, but slower.
Insalled K&N Air Filter.
Walk/Run to the gym (10 mins each way).
We’re still paying only half as much as they do in Europe, but we drive twice as much.
3.73 in Houston, today.

Why is it cheaper for the Swiss and Greeks compared to the rest of Europe?
I want to get the Tesla Roadster soooo bad. 0 - 60 in 3.9 seconds, all electric baby! Goes 220 miles before needing a recharge. Check it out!
Kuwait (Kuwait City) $0.78 a gal
hmmm maybe we should do what they do to get the price so low…
Like others have pointed out it’s not so bad in the USA, check out most European countries. The price has increased quiet a bit already and we haven’t suffered too horrible economic repercussions.
It can only really go so high. At some point it wont be all that efficient and we’ll probably switch over to liquid coal, of which we have something like a 30 year supply, that 30 years should give us plenty of time to figure out another efficient energy source. That’s at least one way I see it going.
Africa and other places have been using liquid coal for a long time. People whine and even blame rising gas prices on current government leadership, but I think that’s a bit of naivety.
