Yeah, they didn’t pull any punches!
I was amused by the part where they suddenly cut away to the whores fucking.

Yea its almost like they forgot “oh shit we have to throw this in or lose ratings”
The rest was pretty good.
So far so good. My only concern is that they aren’t going to portray Theon properly. He looks a little too loyal in the show. And I think they should have switched the actors that play Tywin and stannis.

FOR THE LOVE OF ALL THAT IS HOLY NOT EVERYONE HAS READ THE BOOKS MAN!!!
Nah, that’s pretty much how it happened in the books too, Theon was up Robb’s ass then as soon as he got to the Iron Islands and realized that his sister took his place he tired to over-compensate to show his dad how awesome he was…
END SPOILER*
^^true. In fact I think they are portraying it much better in the show, and it will have more of an impact.
this show is awesome, so pumped on the first episode.
not really a spoiler but…
FINALLY!!! They finally made the direwolf big and bad ass! In the books they’re huge/intimidating/completely bad ass but in the show they were just normal wolves running around.
So sick when King Robs wolf got in Jamies face and he was big as hell. So awesome.
I am already looking forward to season 3… the 3rd book is when stuff starts to get really real.
Greg, thats because they had to show them growing. Grey wind will get even bigger. Remember how big the dead mother dire wolf was in episode 1?

Yeah, that was awesome when Jamie was taunting Stark as the camera showed the wolf walking around the cage, then how Jamie’s face totally changed when the wolf got into his view.

*** SPOILERS ***
Grey Wind won’t get THAT much bigger. I thought Summer looked kinda small in the reflection. Nymeria should be a beast if we ever see her again on the show!! I can’t remember the last time I saw Shaggy Dog, or Rickon for that matter on the show.
basically enough SPOILER alerts, you need to read the books…
anyhow, I think Grey Wind WILL actually be very big even though he gets killed off in this season. Since hes fighting in battles hes eating human flesh so should be able to grow to a decent size before his demise. Also Ghost should be very beastly since the book definitely shows the wildlings fearing him.
I know it’s a while off now, but I’m intrigued as to how they will handle the split storylines in AFFC and ADWD, and also how they plan to fit a book as long as Dance into one season of 12 episodes.

Well I don’t think they can- not properly at least. I’m only half way through AFFC, but I have the last book and it looks waaayyy to big to cram into one season.
I think mormount (old bear) is freaking awesome.
Oh btw is the girl in Craster’s keep Gilly, the one that spoke?

Yeah, maybe they’ll split the books into multiple seasons?
I just got A Dance with Dragons in paperback tonight.
Funny…because I finished the previous book, A Feast for Crows about a year ago I have a strange little nervousness that I will get lost and not understand what’s going on…as I mentioned before I’m one of those ones who doesn’t know the difference between Sandor and Gregor Clegane amongst others.
But…to the ones who haven’t read yet…I trust in George to lead me through it. He kind of knows that people have to remember a lot and always gives you hints as to who he’s talking about.
Not like Steven Erikson…holy shit…anyone here try to keep up with his shit???

Given how long it took Martin to write ADWD, I’d say it’s a good possibility since there’s still…what, 2-3 books left? No way he can get those done in time if he keeps up the previous pace.
