I don’t know how I missed this thread first time around, but that is some funny shit.

It looks like your bulk is coming along well. What’s your diet looking like these days?

Also if you still have any shoulder problems check out scroll down to ‘cuff complex’ on this page:

http://www.elitefts.com/articles/article-faq/default.asp

It has helped me a lot with my shoulder problems.

Anyway, good luck with the bulk man and don’t forget to post some progress pics at some point.

Thanks man I apriciate the link and the words. Pics? At some point maybe, but this is T-Nation, so I’d better have something to show first.

Goal for January was a “leaning” phase 'cuz I was getting a little pudgy around the chin area. Mission accomplished

1/29 weight=71kgs

I’m going to slow down my bulk for the next 2 months because I’m moving back to the good old USA in April (I hope). I’ll still be eating big though and we’ll see where it takes me. I think I’m going to keep my diet about where it is and just allow a few more meals out with the girlfriend and see how that works.

I was pretty pumped this weekend. On Saturday I hit 5x5 deadlifts @ 100kgs!

I know 100kgs isn’t much for Tnation, but it was a threshold I wanted to get across and a goal of mine.

Day was made even better when I hit a 95kg squat and an 80kg bench for 5x5 too.

On to bigger and better things

Difficult times. Family emergency has had me eating whatever comes my way, not sleeping, and skipping all my workouts.

I got a chance yesterday to cook up a bunch of chicken, so hopefully I’ll at least be able to eat well for the next week or so. Things should slow down now, but they won’t ever be “normal” again.

Went to the gym today for the first time in a week. Decided just to get down to it. Felt damn good.

All 5x5 w/ 90sec timed rest

Deadlift 110kgs
bench 82.5kgs
squat 100kgs (fvck yeah, finally)
Pullups Bodyweight (this one I did 5x6, but on the fith set I only got 5 reps)
preacher curl 38.5kgs
dips BW and external rotations

Then I did some martial-arts-like stuff for an hour and 15min cuz I probably won’t get to the gym again in awhile.

Obviously this is not good. I’ve been eating more than ever before, but a combination of stress, lack-of-sleep, and missing workouts are keeping me away from making progress.

One good note is nutrition. Despite the lack of sleep and stress, I’ve still managed to eat quite clean. I’m hoping my clean eating + weight loss means I lost a bit of fat and not the gains I’ve made.

But honestly with all the shit that’s been happening lately (girlfriend’s father had a stroke, girlfriend moved out, fights at work, cancled my plane ticket back to the US, friend at work quit, exam coming up, etc) I’d consider myself lucky just to maintain. After my test this saturday things should get a bit better [/rant]

3-4 weight=72.5kgs
Total weight gained =7.5kgs (about 17lbs)

I’m going to stop my bulk until I’m back in America and settled. I’ve accomplished a little, although not a lot for T-Nation, and I learned a lot.

The next three weeks I’ll be finishing my job and moving to the “middle-of-nowhere” Japan where I’ll live for 4 weeks or so. There is one gym in the area, but it doesn’t appear to have any free weights, and so…

Then I’ll move back the the USA, I’ll travel for about 4-6 weeks (still undecided) trying to see my friends and family. After that I’ll settle down and perhaps start up this log again. Hopefully I can maintain some of my gains during this time.
