Gall Bladder and T

Just curious about this…does the gallbladder(or lack of one) have anything to do with TRT therapy.
Question for KSman…I read that you mention fish oil and DHEA. Is this something that should be taken no matter what while on TRT.

Finding a doc is rather hard. I’m running into a problem in that I’m already on TRT…they seem to try and push me away. You would think at age 38 and having 4 spinal fractures with no signs of osteo that it might just be a low T problem. Had a doc state he gives estrogen to menopausal women but doesn’t treat men. What’s up with that? I even offered to pay the consult fee that a member on here charges to discuss with doctors about proper TRT…doc laughed.
I try and be respectful when asking my questions, but at the same time I think my irritation shines through. It’s been 3 yrs of this crap and a total waste of money and time on my mine and my wife’s part.

It is possible since gallbladder aids in digestion, and gut/nutrition issues can easily lead to a whole host of adrenal/hormonal/vitamin imbalances.

finding a good doctor is next to impossible based on my personal experience - most docs are clueless when it comes to HRT. most look for the easiest fastest solution. most jump to conclusions and don’t want to ‘partner’ with the patient on their health.

Fish Oil is good for overall health.

DHEA can be good, but oral DHEA also causes the liver to create more of a particular enzyme which clears DHEA and other drugs/substances/hormones from your system. So the more DHEA you take, the faster you clear it from your system (along with a host of other things). Plus some people (like me) overconvert oral DHEA to Estrone which can lead to other problems.

any vitamin/supplement/medication you take can and probably will impact multiple systems/processes inside your body. Some in a good way, others in a bad way. It is a crap shoot.

Stupid question…but does fish oil affect breath after you take it. LOL I can just see my wife’s face when I burp fish smell…hahahaha. She’ll stay away for sure now.
So no go on the DHEA…will it hurt to try it?

yes, some fish oils do = fish burps which are not pleasant. but that is normally only with bad or rancid oils. Try different ones and see what works.

as a side note, Cod Liver Oil is thought to interfer with Vitamin D absorption because it contains higher levels of Vitamin A.

ok thanks. I know since gallbladder was removed I haven’t had a good soft stool. I drink plenty of water and take fiber or eat plenty of it. Somehow it has affected me more than it should.
