Do one set of 8-12 reps of 8-10 exercises. Try to increase weight or reps each workout. When you can’t as regularly take a week break and come back and start again with an extra day off between workouts. I saved everyone $100 and a ton of reading time because that was the Nautilus principles.
Can’t take it with you and you can leave it to your heirs so they can waste it, lol
But the thing is, I love to read about all things HIT and Nautilus. Also, Dr Darden’s way with words, his storytelling, is attracting me. After all, there is a story or two to be told.
I still have not heard a word after registering my email at the Darden archives site. Any advice?
Yesterday, Tyler, my son, plugged into the app for the ED Archives. John Wood has done a great job at organizing 124 of my articles. Recheck this thread and I believe someone mentioned how to get involved with in the proper manner.
But you can run out of money before you die. I’ve known of a few people, still working at 80, because they needed the money to survive…
I know people like that too…I also know people that have plenty of money and are afraid to spend a quarter…and I also know people that say they don’t want to waste money on a book but then they will spend 50 bucks on a round of golf, 10 bucks on a couple beers and 20 on lunch…I know people that will waste money on fuel to drive across town for a two dollar sale
My two older brothers are penniless and will work until they die, but they have no problem buying beer, cigarettes and weed
Sometimes it’s all about priorities
With costs skyrocketing these days , especially health care , running out of money is a serious concern for some of us especially in retirement. On the other hand I have an friend who over the years saved 10 million dollars and retired with a great pension from work yet he still feels compelled to work odd jobs out of fear he’ll run out of money!

Of all the things one could take with him a good friend says when he dies he will take the curl handle from his two seater Nautilus compound bicep to the grave with him!

One could always arrange for the two seater Nautilus compound bicep in exchange for a headstone? Indestructible.
My father says something similar referring to the 1920-ies motorcycle he’s been renovating for the past five years…
Yes maybe the two cams and the pullover bar mounted in stone!!

Yes. These can vary considerably, depending on someone’s interests.
Thinking about it more, it is the subscription model that I don’t like. If I buy a book, I can keep it forever and look at it whenever I want. With a subscription, I can take a look, for a limited time. It is like renting a book or a movie. Generally, I’d expect a rental to be less costly than an outright purchase, and mostly for media that I would likely consume only once. Not so good for something that I might want to refer back to, or revisit at later date. I might be willing to pay $25 or even more for a book of Darden stories. I own more than a couple of Darden books in that price range! $100 for a rental? More than I am willing to do.
I agree. I think anything Ellington has written has substantial value and I’d pay a lot for a book or several books like Arthur had bound in leather if it was in the form of a book that I don’t need a computer to look at. Like a Nautilus machine I like things that are permanent , made to last forever, the internet is fleeting at best, here today , deleted tomorrow.

Totally understandable…I debated with myself over the same thing
I just wish it gave me the option to print the articles out to keep…like what Scott says, hard leather binders of Darden’s writings
