My bodyweight is back up after a weekend away, but I’m getting back on top of that. For the next few weeks I’m just going to do the above session on my lower body days as I’ve been focusing on my lower body for a while now (almost all of this log lol) and I fancy just putting it in maintenance mode. I’ve got gymnastic rings now (I leant my old ones to a friend and he recently bought me new ones) so I plan on doing most of my upper body work with them.

Pull-Ups and Dips

This was a good session, although the pull-ups and dips felt quite hard. I’m going to stick with fixed grip pull-ups and dips for a couple of months before switching to the rings, so I can build a base back up (and also because I haven’t worked out where to hang my rings yet). My short term goal is to hit 5x10 on both, which I’m pretty sure I’ve done before, but I’m a fair bit away from that at the moment. My shoulders felt fine so that’s a great relief.

A decent session, the squats felt a little harder than I expected. I’ve got some DOMS from my session yesterday, particularly in my triceps.

I love my gymnastic rings.

Unfortunately I had to move house and I have no longer a place to hang them from. Im thinking of trying to find a park with a tree that might have a branch I could use.
