And I notice that this thread about “FUNNY THINGS WHITE PEOPLE DO”…has more personal, negative undertones mostly about NON-WHITE people. Whereas the opposite thread, has less serious tone with comments that are done more in jest about black people. Hmmm…why is that?

Which is why I said in the original thread that they couldn’t show me even one thread created that was done putting white people in a negative light that was NOT done in jest. There have been several threads over the years discussing something negative and attributed this action to the entire race of black people in this country yet there hasn’t been one that I can remember which does the same in the other direction…then they fault us for taking offense to it.

I really don’t think they can even see it.

That’s exactly what I was getting at.

That’s the primary benefit to living in a world that gives privilege to skin color. If you are part of the majority, you basically make the rules. You can choose to not see racism even if you engage in it. You can fault people who take offense to it of being “too sensitive” or “politically correct”…when the truth largely is, some of us get sick of being labeled as an entire race due to actions of a few especially since this NEVER happens in reverse.

No one actually believes whites are lazy even if most of the homeless in my area are white. However, it seems very easy to claim most black people somehow walk slower (for reasons of suing if they get hit because they are all apparently on wellfare) in front of cars than any other race simply because a couple of people claim it is their experience.

We get to experience being labeled as an entire race constantly as if we don’t even have individual thought…then they turn around and fault us for looking for the best interests of “black people” by calling this “reverse racism”…as if they forgot that the need for this exists because blacks get labeled as an entire group for specific negative actions as if we all share the same brain.

The majority gets the privilege of being seen as an individual. The minority gets the privilege of being seen as part of an entire race constantly.
Some people don’t want to talk racial taboos because they are afraid of offending people and being considered the bad guy. That is understandable and noble in a sense but also harmful in another.

And it’s understandable that good non-white people (like people on T-Nation) get up on their toes and defensive when non-white people are criticized. Similar to how men as a group can get defensive when feminists go on about evil men (and saying that potentially offends half of humanity at that). Anyway, what feminists and left-wing anti-racists have in common is they all see race as a social construct, and feminists do that with gender (yet at the same time they don’t mind blasting white men). I don’t think anybody here believes that sex extends to genitals only and that men only appear stronger than women because women have been oppressed into being meek and delicate. Maybe that is a factor but there are proven biologically based sex differences. Same is true of race. Race is more than skin colour. An albino/bleached african does not look like the average white at all. Different races differ morphologically, in how they respond to drugs, in their brains etc. A liberal does not condemn research showing men to be more violent than women as sexist, but goes out of his way to show that racial differences in violent behavior are not real, or at least the scapegoat turns out to be white man.
Nobody faults people teaching kids to be somewhat wary of strange men although the scumbags are quite rare, but simply being wary (as opposed to simply condemning each one to hell which is unfair though understandable given the human tendency for classification) of certain ethnicities even if they are far more likely to engage in act of violence or crime than the sleazy white depicted in the PSA poster. Being a good black person must suck to some extent because they have to deal with the suspicions which they don’t deserve. Unfortunately there is not any simple solution that would satisfy all parties.

I understand it’s different for people in the states for example because races have been actively mixing for so many generations so that not interacting with other races on a constant basis is pretty hard and being born into such an enviroment, the average person’s way to cope is probably to just go along with the flow and not try to offend anyone, as it could end up in social ostracization or worse. It may well be the only way their mind can cope with the scene without going nuts, which is helped by the constant propaganda deconditioning (white) people into colour blindness.
In addition, the blacks in America have mixed with whites to a significant extent and so hold a fair amount of white blood by now. The blacks, arabs etc. relatively recently exported to Europe,Commonwealth etc. are undiluted ‘savages’. If that sounds harsh, consider that in being a few percent of the population at best, they commit almost half of the rapes for example. Just how does a government deal with these kinds of observations? They mumble something about intercultural misunderstandings like animal lovers anthropomorphisize human eating sharks into “mistaking” a bleeding human for a non-human prey.

One has to make the decision of doing the noble thing of either not offending anyone of a race by brushing off the issue (“I have seen plenty of white bastards…I have blacks for friends, blah, blah…” Yeah. We know you do. We just want to consider statistics) and so promoting racial harmony but at the same time, in silencing, they risk having their daughter raped because they were afraid to cite ‘racist’ stats about the likelihood of that happening.
Yep…I see that type of thinking prevalent on these forums. But I have yet to directly encounter this type of thinking in real life…just passive-aggressive attitudes because people are afraid to say how they really feel. Plus they damn well know that in their everyday lives, the assumptions they make are false. They might see the things that make them see black people in a negative light, but they know all black people are not that way…they just want to convince themselves they are by only focusing on the negative.

They are bound by their own ignorance…not that of the few negative black people…or other non-white people they encounter on a daily basis. The negative,passive-aggressive white people that I encounter on occassion doesn’t give me the right to speak negative of ALL white people. 90% of the time it doesn’t even give me credence to say that they are racist. I worked for fucking Sheriff Dept. of a TX county that is 80% white…I’ve been treated differently than others…some with well intentions that I didn’t need…but still by the color of my skin. Yet I am not bound by the ignorance of those encounters. Why is this so hard for others??

Sometimes this shit really pisses me off…then I realize it’s the internet. This is the place that most live a pseudo-life…talking and responding in ways they never would in real life. If they actually took the time to address their issues in real life and not venting on a internet forum…they would probably have a better experience with black people.

But maybe that is a sign of them being socially inept in dealing with others in the first place. Because if they can’t civilly discuss things in person, maybe they need to look at themselves instead of outwards and BLAMING OTHERS<----which ironically, black people are CONSTANTLY faulted for doing. People just feel comfortable in their own world…yet act as if they have a complete understanding of the world outside their comfort zone. Now I will go listen to some Mastodon(YES,MOTHERFUCKERS…I’M BLACK AND LIKE MASTODON…AND I ACTUALLY UNDERSTAND THAT SHIT!)…end of rant.
So are you saying all whites are racist or all white racists are racist?

Or you could just say all racists are racist…

I think the thing is that most white people don’t really identify with being white. Or more specifically, don’t identify with being “that kind of white person,” which tends to usually change depending on the situation. It’s kind of why I know people who told everybody who would listen that Don Imus was an outrage and should be fired but then will laugh a little too hard when Dave Chappelle drops the N-word. Kind of the whole, “it’s okay to be racist as long as I have a black friend,” sort of deal.

Actually, the ability to be incredibly hypocritical and blind to one’s own misdoings is one of the primary strengths of us whiteys. You should try it sometime, I highly recommend it.

LOL.

I have started laughing some of it off because I know for a fact 99% of the people making the most noise here would never walk up to me in person and say anything close to what gets written here. I also know that I pretty much act and speak in real life just like I type here…so I know one of us being absolutely fake which is just funny as hell.

Think about it, this is the ONLY place people have called me fat as if I am obese (because clearly everyone else looks like a mag cover-model…which is why they don’t have any pics available). This is ONLY place I keep reading all of these threads about some negative action some black person did and how this somehow translates to most or all other black people.

The internet gives some of these little bastards balls that they never have in public.

That mighty computer screen is like a shield and they get to keep jabbing out with their tiny little prick-like keyboard all while wishing they had the stuff in them that would allow them to be real men in their own lives.

Yeah, I find it more funny and pathetic now than anything else…and that’s a good thing.

all these threads are an excuse to talk shit about every one whether latino, black asian or white people. people do cross a line form funny to racist I can say that.

why ? would some one go up to you and say anything unless provoked. as a latino man I have had many good and bad experiences with black people. If some one says something to me I will say it right back whether online or in person. I don’t care how big you are, remember you can bleed and die just like any other man can.

even after what I posted, you still have the tone of “blaming others” and are defensive…instead of taking responsibility for your own ignorance…yeah,I’ve seen some of your other posts. You are quick to attack people. Keep an open mind…because you didn’t have one when you responded with that post.
okay, a civil dialogue is possible

Oh shit this whole time I thought I was bulletproof… Thanks for bringing me up to speed.

Trying to make a point, you tool

Point taken, fully. I was clearly in the wrong and I was unaware of it until you called me a tool (very effective technique by the way). I can only assume that you’d call me a tool to my face as well, and that just made me shiver to my core.

nothing but sarcasm

does anyone else think it’s ironic/funny that Big Boss and Professor X are two of the self-proclaimed biggest nerds on this site and are also acting like the black representatives?
